SIOUX FALLS — Yankton teams won one of eight games played Friday in respective divisions at a youth baseball tournament in Sioux Falls.

PIPESTONE 13, BLACK SOX 3: Pipestone (Minnesota) used a four-run top of the third inning to break a 1-1 tie and capture a 13-3 victory over the Yankton Black Sox on Friday afternoon.

Paul McGlone, Austin Pederson, Jacob Larson and Brayden Boese all singled for Yankton, while Boese and Dylan Prouty drove in a run.

Marcus Adam took the loss.

LINCOLN PIUS 16, BLACK SOX 1: Lincoln (Nebraska) Pius scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning on the way to a three-inning victory over the Yankton Black on Friday evening.

Austin Pederson, Dylan Prouty, Brayden Boese and Paul McGlone all singled for Yankton, while Prouty drove in the lone run.

Landon Loecker allowed 13 runs (five earned) to take the loss.

MITCHELL 6, LAKERS 5: Mitchell scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally past the Yankton Lakers 6-5 in a 14-U game Friday afternoon.

Cody Oswald tripled for Yankton, while Rugby Ryken doubled and drove in a run. Drew Ryken and Jace McCorkell both singled twice, while Connor Teichroew, Luke Bernatow, Cooper Grotenhuis and Mac Ryken all singled.

Grotenhuis took the loss in relief.

PIERRE 7, LAKERS 2: Pierre handed the Yankton Lakers a 7-2 defeat on Friday evening in Sioux Falls.

Drew Ryken doubled and singled for Yankton, while Cody Oswald, Rugby Ryken, Connor Teichroew, Garrett Nelson, Josh Sheldon and Mac Ryken all singled.

Nelson took the loss.

S.F. WEST 16, GREY SOX 1: A 10-run bottom of the third inning ballooned Sioux Falls West’s lead on the way to a 16-1 victory over the Yankton Grey Sox on Friday evening.

Yankton’s lone hit was a single by Jack Halsted, who came around to score the only run. Rayner Roig took the loss on the mound.

TRIPLE CROWN BLACK HILLS THUNDER 15, GREY SOX 1: Thanks to a 9-1 lead after two innings, Triple Crown Black Hills Thunder cruised past the Yankton Grey Sox 15-1 on Friday evening.

Yankton was held to an Alex Kleinsasser double and a John Rye single. Rye also scored the lone run. Jack Halsted took the loss.

REDS 5, MARSHALL 3: Sean Turner allowed one run over six innings to lead the Yankton Reds past Marshall (Minnesota) 5-3 on Friday afternoon in Sioux Falls.

Turner struck out four batters and the run he allowed was unearned.

Lucas Kampshoff doubled for Yankton, while Landon Potts singled twice and scored twice. Austin Gobel and Frankie Intveld both added a single.

S.F. EAST 4, REDS 0: Sioux Falls East blanked the Yankton Reds 4-0 on Friday evening.

Hunter Teichroew doubled and singled for Yankton, while Austin Gobel singled. Lucas Kampshoff took the loss on the mound.
