CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — For the third time in her career, South Dakota State women’s golfer Sydney Bormann was named Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, announced Monday.

Bormann is one of 1,097 women among all three levels of the NCAA selected to the team. The criteria for this honor requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

The junior from Parkston holds a 4.00 GPA in the human biology program and was named to the Summit League All-Academic team in May. She has also twice earned Summit League Academic Honor Roll.

Bormann shot a stroke average of 78.0 over 30 rounds this season, ranking third for the Jacks and top-20 in the Summit League. Her career 77.45 stroke average is good for sixth all-time at SDSU.
