FREEMAN —The Tabor Bluebirds pounded out 14 hits in a 14-2 victory over Freeman in South Central League amateur baseball action on Thursday.
Chris Sutera and Colin Muth each had a double and three singles for Tabor.
Alan Scherschligt had a double and two singles for Freeman.
Muth went the distance in the win. Nathan Broehm took the loss.
Parkston 10, Dimock-Emery 8
EMERY — Spencer Lucas drove in eight runs, including four with the go-ahead grand slam in the eighth inning, as Parkston rallied past Dimock-Emery 10-8 in amateur baseball action on Thursday.
Lucas finished 3-5 with two doubles, and Jeff Harris went 4-5 for Parkston. Cody Freudenthal went 2-5 with a home run. Dylan Mogck also had two hits. Dan Bonte, Brandon Deffenbaugh, Jake Weber, Dillon Stadlman and Dawson Semmler each had a hit in the win.
Phil Johnson went 3-4 with a home run for Dimock-Emery. Jason Schmidt doubled and singled. Drew Kitchens also had two hits. Jared Schmidt doubled, and Sam Piscke and Sam Arend each had a hit in the effort.
Brady Nolz pitched four shutout innings of relief, striking out seven, in the win. Kitchens took the loss.
Parkston, 4-2, travels to Corsica to face the Corsica-Stickney Horned Frogs on Sunday.
