Huskies Fourth In Preseason Poll

Elk Point-Jefferson players celebrate a point during a match in the 2018 season. The Huskies were picked fourth in Class A in the South Dakota Media volleyball poll, announced Monday.

The South Dakota Media preseason volleyball polls were announced on Monday.

In Class AA, Sioux Falls Washington edged out Rapid City Stevens and O'Gorman for the top spot. Watertown also received a first place vote.

In Class A, Sioux Falls Christian claimed the top spot, with Miller and McCook Central-Montrose each receiving a first place nod. Elk Point-Jefferson was ranked fourth, with Parker fifth and Dakota Valley receiving votes.

In Class B, Northwestern edged rival Warner for the top spot despite Warner holding an 8-6 edge in first-place votes.
