TYNDALL — Jenae Alberts led Bon Homme past Hanson in narrow 3-2 victory over Hanson Monday night.
Bon Homme prevailed on set scores of 8-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23 and 15-8.
Alberts totaled 13 digs and 12 kills for Bon Homme (3-17). Ciera Himes added 11 kills and 10 digs. Johanna Jelsma added 13 digs and assists. Lauren Bastemeyer contributed 13 assists.
Morgan Huber and Josie Bartscher led Hanson (6-14) with nine kills each. Abby Kortan pitched in 20 assists and 11 digs. Hanna Robinson led the match with 25 digs.
Hanson’s next match is in Alexandria to face Centerville. Bon Homme hosts Freeman.
Tri-Valley 3, Vermillion 0
COLTON — Abbie Weinacht and Jessica Masgai led Tri-Valley to a three set victory over Vermillion on Monday night.
Tri-Valley (8-9) won with set scores of 25-12, 30-28 and 25-17.
Weinacht and Masgai tallied nine kills apiece for the Mustangs. Emma Keith and Grace Schildhauer added 10 digs each. Schildhauer pitched in 20 assists. Blayne Gacke hit four aces.
Paige Krell tallied five kills for Vermillion (9-13). Shandie Ludwig added 11 digs and Lexie Saunders 10 assists.
Tri-Valley’s next opponent is Chester Area in Chester on Oct 8. Vermillion makes the trip to Dell Rapids for their next match on the eighth also.
Freeman 3, Mitchell Christian 0
FREEMAN — Freeman, led by Emily Miller, beat Mitchell Christian 3-0 at home Monday night.
Freeman won by set scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-23.
Miller totaled a game high 18 kills for Freeman (13-5). Rijjy Peterson added seven. Cara Maske pitched in 24 assists.
Mitchell Christian (2-7) saw a team effort led by Maggie Reynen’s three kills. Erica Thompson contributed nine assists and Whisper Eben seven digs.
Up next, Freeman makes a trip to Tyndall to face Bon Homme, while Mitchell Christian is in Gayville.
Wynot 3, Randolph 0
RANDOLPH, Neb. — Wynot went on the road and swept Randolph 3-0 Monday night.
Wynot (14-1) won set by scores of 25-14, 25-10 and 25-12.
Shaelee Planer totaled seven kills for Wynot. Emersyn Sudbeck added 10 assists and Noelle Wieseler 16 digs.
No stats reported for Randolph (5-14).
Wynot’s next match is at the Walthill Triangular against Emerson-Hubbard on Oct 8. Randolph travels to Hartington-Newcastle on the same night.
Bridgewater-Emery 3, Irene-Wakonda 0
WAKONDA — Bridgewater-Emery had two players with double digit kills in a 3-0 sweep over Irene-Wakonda Monday night.
Bridgewater-Emery won by set scores of 25-19, 25-7 and 25-20.
Haley Schullz and Julia Weber tallied 11 kills apiece to lead Bridgewater-Emery (14-6). Sophia Potter added 22 assists. Julia Weber (13 digs), Cara Meyer (12) and Taylor Schallenkamp (11) all totaled double digit digs.
Emma McDonald led Irene-Wakonda (7-12) with seven kills. Abbey Emmick added 21 digs.
Bridgewater-Emery won the JV match 2-1.
Up next, Bridgewater-Emery travels to face Freeman Academy-Marion in Freeman. Irene-Wakonda will be in Gayville to face Gayville-Volin.

MENNO — Jada Plastow led Ethan past Menno in a 3-0 match Monday night.
Ethan won with set scores of 25-9, 25-19 and 25-11.
Plastow totaled 10 kills and 11 digs for Ethan (16-3). Jessica Bartscher contributed 25 assists and Hannah Bartscher 13 digs.
Jesse Munkvold and Trinity Kocourek finished with 10 digs each for Menno (3-8).
Next up for Ethan is a home match with Wessington Springs on Oct 8. Menno will face Canistota in Canistota on the eighth.

WAUSA, Neb. — Osmond sweeps Wausa in Wausa 3-0 on Monday night.
Osmond (8-7) won with set scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 28-26.
Wausa (4-9) was led by Morgan Kleinschmit’s five kills. Melanie Vanness totaled 12 digs and Kaitlyn Kumm 10.

Dakota Valley (19-1) won by set scores of 25-5, 25-10 and 26-24.
Schulz led the Panthers with 12 kills and Atchison 10. Ally Beresford tallied 34 assists and Sam Archer 21 digs.
Emma VanRegenmorter and Dezi Rus totaled three kills each to lead Dell Rapids (3-16). Sam Price contributed eight assists.
Dakota Valley won both the junior varsity and c-matches 2-0.
