VERMILLION — The Yankton Gazelles earned 9-0 sweeps over Lennox and host Vermillion in a girls’ tennis triangular on Tuesday at the University of South Dakota Tennis Courts.

Against Vermillion, Maggie Schaefer (flight two), Maddie Binder (flight four), Stacia Sherman (flight five) and Ashlyn McGhee (flight six) each earned 8-0 victories. Schaefer, Binder and Lauren Moon (flight three) each earned 8-0 victories against Lennox. Binder and McGhee (flight three) earned an 8-0 win in doubles against Lennox.

Yankton, 4-0, will face Rapid City Stevens and Watertown in a quadrangular on Saturday at Yankton. Vermillion will also face Stevens and Watertown in the event, one of two home events for the Gazelles this season. Start time is 9 a.m.
