Brodie Hullinger of Brookings and Michael Keeton of Pierre won a playoff for the South Dakota Golf Association’s Mid-Amateur Two-Man Golf Tournament, which concluded on Sunday in Yankton.
Hullinger and Keeton were tied by Colin Karst of Dell Rapids and Michael Hoxer of Sioux Falls at 9-under 135 after two rounds, then won a playoff. Karst and Hoxter led after the opening round with a 7-under 65.
Yankton’s Chris Schaefer and Ryan Elwood finished in a tie for third at 8-under 136. Vermillion’s Adam Chandler and Ryan Baedke finished seventh at 5-under 139.
The second flight went to Matt Neu and Ryan Sailor of Sioux Falls at 7-under 137. Gabe Messler and Marc Gubbels of Sioux Falls, and Alex Munson (Beresford) and Maxwell Nielsen (Vermillion) tied for second at even-par 144.
The third flight went to Jamie Mallery and Kevin Wiessner of Sioux Falls at 1-over 145.
PRE-SENIOR: Kevin Kogel and Ryan Jansa, both of Sioux Falls, won a playoff over Chris Long of Garretson and Galen Vavra of Hartford for the Pre-Senior title. Both teams finished at 10-under 134.
Second flight honors went to Casey Prostrollo and Patrick Booth of Sioux Falls at 1-over 145.
Third flight honors went to David Gustafson and Kelly Farrar of Sioux Falls at 3-over 147. Justin Dietrich of Yankton and Ryan Gevens of Sioux Falls finished second at 152.
SENIOR: Mike Brummer of Rapid City and Tom Reynolds of Sioux Falls won the Senior title, finishing at 9-under 135. Derek Burshiem of Flandreau and Duane Broek of Watertown finished second at 139. Locals Dave Rothluebber and Steve Weiland finished fourth at 141.
Second flight honors went to Chuck Eide and Dave Beranek of Sioux Falls at 2-under 142.
Third flight honors went to Rick Bishop and Tod Wendt of Sioux Falls at 2-over 146. A pair of Yankton duos finished in a tie for third at 152: Dan Orton and Merlyn Schmuck, and Denny Fokken and Kyle Repp.
