DELL RAPIDS — Sioux Falls Christian posted the only two scores under 80 on the day to run away with team honors in the Dell Rapids Invitational boys’ golf tournament, held Wednesday at Rocky Run Golf Course. The tournament was postponed from Monday due to wet weather conditions.
Sioux Falls Christian posted a team score of 318. Vermillion and Parkston each finished at 341.
Alex VandeGriend of Sioux Falls Christian shot 71 to earn medalist honors, eight shots better than teammate Carson Van Beek. Lennox’s Konnor Gayle and Eli Cinco each shot 81. Parkston’s Quinn Bormann and Payton Koehn, and Tea Area’s Eric Munson each shot 82.
Sioux Falls Christian also took JV honors with a team score of 334. The Chargers put four in the top five, led by Eli Gillett’s 78.
