LAKE ANDES — Gayville-Volin topped Avon 25-17, 25-18 for the championship of the Great Plains Conference Volleyball Tournament, held Saturday in Lake Andes.

Jadyn Hubbard had nine kills and Samantha Olson posted eight kills for Gayville-Volin. Keeley Larson finished with 26 assists. Molly Larson had 17 digs and Lily Hunsley had six blocks in the win.

Tiffany Pelton posted 10 kills and Madisyn Cameron had 20 assists for Avon. Katie Greschmann had 30 digs. Ali Sees had five kills and two blocks. Maddie Kocmich had 18 digs, Makayla Kopp had 16 digs and Sammy Brodeen had 11 digs in the effort.

Gayville-Volin, 17-4, hosts Irene-Wakonda on Tuesday. Avon, 12-6, travels to Bonesteel to face Burke on Tuesday.

GAYVILLE-VOLIN 2, CORSICA-STICKNEY 0: Samantha Olson and Lily Hunsley each had seven kills for Gayville-Volin in a 25-14, 25-13 victory over Corsica-Stickney in the semifinals.

Keeley Larson had 22 assists and Molly Larson added 10 digs in the win, avenging a pool play loss to the Jaguars.

For Corsica-Stickney, Paige Wright had four kills and Marisa DeLange had six assists to lead the way. Lexi Tilton added 15 digs.

AVON 2, BURKE 0: Shalayne Nagel had eight kills and two blocks to lead Avon past Burke 25-19, 25-23 in the semifinals.

Tiffany Pelton posted six kills and Madisyn Cameron had 19 assists for Avon. Natalie Zacharias had two blocks. Katie Gretschmann had 25 digs, Sammy Brodeen had 14 digs and Makayal Kopp added 11 digs in the victory.

GAYVILLE-VOLIN 2, SCOTLAND 0: Kayla VanOsdel and Jadyn Hubbard each had six kills to lead Gayville-Volin past Scotland 25-16, 25-23.

Keeley Larson had 16 assists and Molly Larson had 12 digs in the victory.

CORSICA-STICKNEY 2, GAYVILLE-VOLIN 0: Corsica-Stickney outlasted Gayville-Volin 25-23, 25-21.

Paige Write had seven kills, and Raven Barse had six kills and 13 digs for Corsica-Stickney. Camden Pluster had 15 assists. Marisa DeLange posted 12 assists and nine digs. Avery Broughton finished with seven blocks. Lexi Tilton added 10 digs.

For GV, Kayla VanOsdel had six kills and Samantha Olson had five kills for Gayville-Volin. Keeley Larson posted 13 assists. Molly Larson and Olivia Petrik each had seven digs.

AVON 2, ALCESTER-HUDSON 1: Tiffany Pelton had nine kills, and Maddie Kocmich had six kills and 13 digs to lead Avon past Alcester-Hudson 22-25, 25-16, 25-21.

Madisyn Cameron had 17 assists and 12 digs, and Katie Gretschmann posted 36 digs for Avon. Ali Sees and Shalayne Nagel each had two blocks. Natalie Zacharias had 18 digs in the win.

CORSICA-STICKNEY 2, AC-DC 1: Morgan DeLange had four kills and six ace serves to lead Corsica-Stickney past Andes Central-Dakota Christian 18-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Camden Plooster had 10 assists, and Marisa DeLange had eight assists and three ace serves for Corsica-Stickney. Lexi Tilton posted 17 digs. Raven Barse had 10 digs and four ace serves in the win.

AVON 2, CENTERVILLE 0: Tiffany Pelton had six kills to lead Avon past Centerville 25-7, 25-6.

Madisyn Cameron had 15 assists and Katie Gretschmann had 10 digs for Avon. Maddie Kocmich added four ace serves in the win.

CORSICA-STICKNEY 2, MARTY 0: Avery Broughton had six kills to lead Corsica-Stickney past Marty 25-10, 25-19.

Marisa DeLange had nine assists, and Morgan DeLange and Lexi Tilton each had four ace serves in the win.

Pheasant Classic

REDFIELD — Northwestern beat Groton Area 25-23, 25-17 for the championship of the Pheasant Classic volleyball tournament, held Saturday in Redfield.

Warner held off Beresford 25-19, 23-25, 25-20 for third place.

In pool play, Beresford beat Aberdeen Roncalli 15-25, 25-22, 25-20; lost to Northwestern 25-12, 25-10; beat Webster Area 25-13, 25-21; and beat Waverly-South Shore 25-13, 25-17.

Beresford’s Jessica Niles was named to the 12-member all-tournament team.

Northwestern and Warner each had three honorees on the all-tournament team. Groton Area had two selections. Webster Area, Waverly-South Shore and host Redfield each had one honoree.

Wagner 3, Tri-Valley 0

COLTON — Abby Brunsing posted 23 kills and 11 digs to power Wagner past Tri-Valley 27-25, 25-16, 25-18 in prep volleyball action on Saturday.

Emilea Cimpl finished with 34 assists and 14 digs for Wagner. Lizzie Tyler had 20 digs and two ace serves. Maesa Dvorak had three blocks and Paige Petry added 13 digs in the victory.

Emma Keith had four ace serves, and Jessica Masgai had three kills and two blocks for Tri-Valley. Kaitlyn Mohner posted four ace serves, Annabell Oberg had two blocks, Grace Schildhauer posted six assists and Blayne Gacke added 11 digs for the Mustangs.

Omaha Concordia 3, Wynot 1

OMAHA, Neb. — Omaha Concordia outlasted Wynot 25-19, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23 in prep volleyball action on Saturday. The setback to the Class C1 program was the first loss for Wynot this season.

Karley Heimes had eight kills and two blocks, and Whitney Hochstein had six kills and two blocks to lead Wynot. Emersyn Sudbeck posted 12 assists and 11 digs. Edyn Sudbeck had five kills, nine assists, five ace serves and 20 digs. Katelyn Heine finished with five kills and three blocks. Noelle Wieseler had 21 digs. Kaitlyn Heimes had four blocks and two ace serves. Shaelee Planer posted three blocks and two ace serves. Katelyn Heine had three blocks and Michaela Lange added two ace serves in the effort.

Concordia travels to Elmwood-Murdock on Tuesday. Wynot, 13-1, travels to Randolph today (Monday).
