CROFTON, Neb. — Paige Nissen recorded 12 kills to help Wausa rally past Bloomfield 22-25, 28-26, 26-24 in the third-place match Tuesday night at the Knox County Tournament in Crofton, Nebraska.

Megan Kleinschmit added seven kills and Ruth Johnson had 25 set assists for Wausa (6-17), while Alli Barney led the defense with 18 digs.

Bloomfield made the third set interesting. Wausa led 24-17, but Bloomfield rallied to tie the set at 24-24 before Wausa won.

In the loss for Bloomfield (1-19), Michelle Wachter had seven kills, Michaela Johnson added five kills, Addison Barger recorded 10 set assists, and Grace Kuchar and Lauren Pinkelman both had 16 digs.

Bloomfield will play in a triangular tonight (Thursday) in Madison, against Elkhorn Valley and Madison. Wausa will play in the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament which begins Saturday.

O’NEILL, Neb. — Despite dropping a rare set, Hartington Cedar Catholic defeated Wayne 24-26, 25-14, 25-16 as part of Tuesday’s triangular in O’Neill.

Cedar Catholic got 11 kills from both Maddie Wieseler and Jada Cattau. Brianna Miller and Mallorie Steffen both chipped in with seven kills apiece.

Madie Arens led Cedar Catholic’s defense with 17 digs, while Ashley Hamilton and Wieseler both had 19 kills.

No stats were reported for Wayne.

Cedar Catholic, now 26-0 on the season, will play in the Mid-State Conference Tournament which begins next Monday in Norfolk.

O’NEILL, Neb. — Hartington Cedar Catholic clipped O’Neill 25-22, 25-18 as part of Tuesday’s triangular in O’Neill.

Jada Cattau had seven kills, and Maddie Wiesler had six kills, two blocks, six assists and 10 digs for Cedar Catholic. Ashley Hamilton posted 11 assists and seven digs. Madie Arens added nine digs in the victory.

No statistics were reported for O’Neill.

OSMOND, Neb. — Another big night from Julia Eskens helped the Wynot Blue Devils topple Osmond 28-26, 22-25, 25-14, 24-26, 15-11 in a volleyball thriller Tuesday night in Osmond, Nebraska.

Eskens recorded 15 kills, four blocks, two ace serves and seven digs, while Whitney Hochstein added seven kills , and Shaelee Planer posted four kills, four blocks, two ace serves and 24 digs.

Also for Wynot (17-6), which extended its win streak to seven, Kaitlyn Heimes had six kills, Michaela Lange had 23 digs, and Emersyn Sudbeck recorded 15 set assists and 11 digs.

No stats were reported for Osmond (6-13).

Wynot will host Wausa on Saturday to open the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament.

RANDOLPH, Neb. — Pierce captured a 25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 25-21 victory over Randolph on Tuesday night at Randolph High School.

In the loss for Randolph (12-10), Carlee Thies had eight kills, Jaiden Taylor had five kills, Mollie Lemmons contributed 13 set assists and Mckinna Faulkenberry led the defense with 15 digs.
