BROOKINGS — The Yankton Bucks placed sixth in the 15-team Brookings Invitational boys’ golf tournament, played Monday.

Sioux Falls Roosevelt shot a team score of 314, beating out Watertown and Sioux Falls Lincoln, each at 317. O’Gorman (321) was fourth, followed by Brandon Valley (325) and the Bucks (327).

Sioux Falls Roosevelt’s Jack Lundin shot an even par 72 for medalist honors, finishing two strokes ahead of teammate Karsten Kern and Brandon Valley’s Emmet Hansen.

Yankton was led by Gavin Haselhorst, who shot 78 to finish in a tie for fifth. Simon Hacecky shot an 81, Austin Frick shot an 82 and Landon Moe carded an 86 to complete the Bucks’ team score. Also for Yankton, Jimmie Cunningham shot 87 and Dawson Vellek carded a 94.

Yankton travels to Mitchell for the Mitchell Invitational on Friday.
