The Yankton Gazelles earned a doubleheader split with Brookings in club high school softball action on Tuesday at Yankton’s Sertoma Park.

Three different players had two hits each as Yankton rolled to a 7-0 victory in the opener.

Elle Feser had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored for Yankton. Jenna Cox had two hits and two runs scored. Haley Lande had two hits and a run scored. Lainie Keller tripled and scored. Paige Gullikson and Faith Sparks each had a hit, a RBI and a run scored. Olivia Larson and Lexi Madson each had a hit in the victory.

Skylar Hinricher doubled and singled for Brookings.

Madson picked up the win, striking out five in the shutout. Jessa Rindels took the loss.

Brookings rallied for three runs in the bottom of the last inning, capped by a two-run walkoff home run by Rindels, to claim the nightcap 4-3.

Sparks had two hits and two runs scored, and Larson had two hits and two RBI for Yankton. Feser had a triple and a run scored. Keller added a hit and a RBI.

Grace Behrns took the loss, striking out six.

Yankton travels to Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Monday, Sept. 16.
