LENNOX — Redfield took control with a seven-run third inning and held on for a 15-11 victory over Lennox in the South Dakota State Class B American Legion Seniors Baseball Tournament on Monday in Lennox.

Redfield’s victory guarantees there will be two games on today’s (Tuesday) final day of the tournament. Redfield plays Humboldt-Hartford at 1 p.m., with Lennox playing the winner later in the day.

Barrett Wren doubled and singled, driving in two, for Redfield. Camden Osborn had two hits, three RIB and two runs scored. Peyton Osborn also had two hits. Bennett Osborn doubled, scoring three times. Gage Clausen had a hit, three RBI and two runs scored. Christian DeYoung had a hit and three runs scored. Noah Hainy and Conner Jessen each had a hit, with Jessen scoring twice in the win.

Zach Liesinger went 2-3 with a home run, a double, two RBI and three runs scored for Lennox. Holden Wagner had two hits and three RBI. Zach Foss and Brock Anderson each homered, with Foss driving in two and Anderson scoring twice. Ray Williams also had a hit and two RBI. Tyson Stoebner posted a hit and two runs scored. Mount Marty recruit J.D. Kirchner added a hit.

Wren pitched four innings for the win, striking out three. Ty Spieler took the loss.

Humboldt-Hartford 9, Winner-Colome 2

LENNOX — Humboldt-Hartford jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings and claimed a 9-2 victory over Winner-Colome in an elimination game at the South Dakota State Class B American Legion Seniors Baseball Tournament on Monday in Lennox.

Humboldt-Hartford advances to face Redfield today (Tuesday) at 1 p.m. The winner of that game faces Lennox in the championship later in the day.

Broc Haldeman, Devon Garry and Clay Habben each had two doubles for Humboldt-Hartford. Habben drove in three runs, Haldeman scored three runs and Garry scored twice in the effort.

Also for Humboldt-Hartford, Cooper Maras doubled and singled. Caden Ideker scored twice in the win.

Oscar Pravecek went 2-3 with a home run for Winner-Colome. Phil Jorgensen also had two hits. Carter Brickman and Dalton Baker each had a hit.

Micah Warrington went the distance in the win, striking out five. Layton Thieman took the loss.
