Yankton Post 12 split with Harrisburg in American Legion baseball action on Tuesday at Riverside Field at Bob Tereshinski Stadium.

Yankton scored all three runs in the fourth inning to claim a 3-2 victory in the opener.

Levi Wiersma had a double and two RBI, and Ethan Wishon had a double and a RBI for Yankton. Matthew Mors and Michael Drotzmann each had a hit.

Jett Olszewski went 2-3 with a double and a RBI for Harrisburg. Payton Metzger also had two hits. Brady Bretzman and Carter Johnson each had a hit.

Kieren Luellman struck out six batters in 5 2/3 innings for the win. Miles Carda got the final four outs, striking out two, for the save. Bretzman took the loss.

Harrisburg scored on a Nick Zabel triple and an interference call in the top of the seventh to rally to a 10-9 victory in the nightcap.

Olszewski and Seth Fisher each had two hits for Harrisburg. Tyson Kogel, Metzger and Zabel each tripled. Jacob Just and Chase Lucas each doubled in the win.

Mors and Ryken each doubled and singled for Yankton. Carda and Ethan Wishon also had two hits each. Cole Withrow doubled and Caid Koletzky added a hit in the effort.

Johnson pitched two shutout innings for the win. Wiersma took the loss in relief, striking out four in his three innings of work.

Yankton, 11-5, plays in the Renner Post 307 Tournament beginning Friday. Post 12 will face Shakopee, Minnesota, and Norfolk, Nebraska, on the opening day, then finish pool play against Minot, North Dakota, on Saturday.

Yankton will not play at home again until July 2 against Sioux Falls West.

Neligh 8, Hartington 5

HARTINGTON, Neb. — Neligh rallied from a 5-2 deficit to claim an 8-5 victory over Hartington in American Legion Seniors baseball action on Tuesday.

Riley Arens had a double and two RBI for Hartington. Brady Steffen posted a hit and two RBI. Jacob Kaiser added the other Hartington hit.

Turner Korth took the loss.

Hartington, 4-8, travels to Crofton on Friday. Start time is set for 8 p.m., preceded by a matchup between the towns’ Junior programs.

West Central 14, McCook-Miner 4

SALEM — Ty Lundborg went 3-3 and three other West Central players had two hits each in a 14-4 victory over McCook-Miner in American Legion baseball action on Tuesday.

Devin Garry, Broc Haldeman and Clay Habben each doubled and singled, with Haldeman and Habben each driving in three runs in the win.

Kalub Carmichael had three hits for McCook-Miner.

Carter Healy struck out six batters in 4 1/3 innings for the win. Kyle Tuschen took the loss, striking out five in his four innings of work.

Juniors: Elk Point-Jefferson 5, Ponca 3

ELK POINT — Elk Point-Jefferson used a five-run third inning to top Ponca in American Legion Juniors baseball action on Monday in Elk Point.

Tyler Goehring went 2-3 with a triple and two RBI for EPJ. Ethan Kelley also had two hits. Skyler Swatek doubled, Ben Hanson had a hit and two RBI, and Andrew Nearman, Noah Larson and Will Suing each had a hit in the win.

Caydon Phillips and Matt Logue each had two hits for Ponca. Zach Fernau doubled. Chase Phillips added a hit.

Ponca travels to Battle Creek today (Wednesday).
