NORFOLK, Neb. — Lacey Sprakel finished with 14 points and eight rebounds, scoring her 1,000th career point in the process, as Crofton powered past Norfolk Catholic 62-44 in Mid-State Conference girls’ basketball action on Thursday.

Kaley Einrem scored 13 points and had four steals for Crofton. Alexis Folkers posted five assists and Alexis Arens added four steals in the victory.

Anna Kassmeier and Abby Miller each had 11 points for Norfolk Catholic. Kassmeier also had four assists.

Crofton, 19-3, finishes the regular season at home against Randolph tonight (Friday). Norfolk Catholic, 14-7, hosts Stanton today to finish the regular season.

Creighton 60, Bloomfield 55

BLOOMFIELD, Neb. — Creighton built a 13-2 lead after one quarter and held on for a 60-55 victory over Bloomfield in Lewis & Clark Conference girls’ basketball action on Thursday.

Charlize Wilmes scored 15 points to lead Creighton. Bryna Fanta scored 13 points and Maycee Zimmerer added 11 points for the Bulldogs.

For Bloomfield, Alexandra Eisenhauer led the way with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Bree Eisenhauer added 12 points.

Creighton finishes the regular season at home against Plainview tonight (Friday). Bloomfield begins play in the Sub-District D2-4 Tournament, facing Santee on Tuesday in Niobrara.

AC-DC 49, FA-M 24

FREEMAN — Mackenzie Muckey and Allison Muckey each scored 14 points to lead Andes Central-Dakota Christian past Freeman Academy-Marion 49-24 in Great Plains Conference girls’ basketball action on Thursday.

Mackenzie Muckey also had eight rebounds, five assists and nine steals for the Thunder. Isabel Pheifer finished with a double-double, posting 10 points, 17 rebounds, seven steals and four assists. Josie Brouwer added eight points and five steals.

Jada Koerner led Freeman Academy-Marion with 14 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Leah Goodwin had seven points and six rebounds.

AC-DC, 10-8, hosts Kimball-White Lake tonight (Friday) at Dakota Christian School. FA-M finishes the regular season at Menno on Feb. 20.

Parkston 53, Freeman 24

PARKSTON — The Parkston Trojans were hot from outside, draining 9-of-19 from deep, in a 53-24 victory over Freeman in girls’ basketball action on Thursday.

Tiah Holzbauer hit 3-of-6 from three points on the way to 13 points, and added seven rebounds for Parkston. Emma Yost and Allison Ziebart each had 10 points, with Yost also recording four assists and three steals. Izzy Hohn had seven rebounds and Sydney Wickersham added seven assists in the victory.

Rijjy Peterson led Freeman with 13 points. Emily Miller had nine rebounds.

Parkston, 11-6, hosts Andes Central-Dakota Christian on Tuesday. Freeman, 10-7, travels to Warner to face Little Wound on Saturday.
