WATERTOWN — Watertown blanked Yankton 26-0 in junior varsity football action on Monday in Watertown.

Jaden Supurgeci threw for 108 yards for Yankton. Max Raab had three catches for 52 yards. Jaden Kral posted three catches for 46 yards.

Defensively, Thomas Weiner and Dominic Kabella each had three tackles. Kral blocked a punt. Dylan LaPointe added a sack.

Yankton returns home to face Sioux City (Iowa) East on Monday, Sept. 16. Start time is 4:15 p.m. at Crane-Youngworth Field.

Friday: Chester 19, Irene-Wakonda 6

CHESTER — Stratton Eppard rushed for 84 yards, including a 53-yard touchdown, and threw for two touchdowns in Chester’s 19-6 victory over Irene-Wakonda in prep football action on Friday.

Max McGreevy and Ryan Benson each had touchdown catches in the win.

Connor Libby found Dashel Spurrell for a 43-yard touchdown for Irene-Wakonda. Libby finished with 137 yards passing, 98 of it to Spurrell.

Cal Lucas had 13 tackles and Marcus Van Driel made 12 stops, including three sacks, for Irene-Wakonda. Corey Johnson made nine tackles, including two sacks.

Chester Area heads to Scotland next. Irene-Wakonda hosts Colome next.
