The Dakota Prairie Quilt Guild is sponsoring a barn board quilt painting workshop on Tuesday, June 4, from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. The event will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 207 West 11th Street in Yankton.

This is a great opportunity to paint your own barn quilt. At the workshop attendees will receive a pre-primed 2-foot x 2-foot board, as well as all supplies needed. Basic paint colors will be provided — you may bring your own specialized colors of outdoor latex paint if desired.

You will need to bring: a photo or drawing of the barn quilt design you want to use (cell phone photos are OK), specific paint colors if you want them, and a sack lunch. If you need the instructor to draw a design for you, it is needed by no later than June 1.

The max group size is 10 and classes tend to fill up quickly. If you would like a pattern drawn for you prior to class and to RSVP, call Sharon Heisinger at 605-661-7472 before June 1.
