Do you have some documents that you would like to preserve?

The Mead Cultural Education Center is hosting a Care of Collections at Home: Documents workshop, 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. This workshop series will focus on the care of different items you have at home.

Our collections care team will teach you basic handling and care of your delicate documents. They will also go over sunlight protection, wrinkle relaxation, and how to encapsulate it for long term care. Participants are encouraged to bring a document for hands-on practice. Starter materials will be provided.

For ticket information, or to register by Sept. 30, contact Heidi at 605-665-3898, via email at programs@meadbuilding.org, or stop in at 82 Mickelson Drive, Yankton. The Mead Cultural Education Center is open Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday 1-5 p.m.

What a fantastic building. What a great use for it. What great regional history.
