VERMILLION — The Edith B. Siegrist Vermillion Public Library’s  Lunch & Learn program on Friday, Oct. 4, at noon will examine the new PBS series by Ken Burns, “Country Music.”

“Country Music: A Film By Ken Burns” explores the history of a uniquely American art form and how it evolved over the 20th century and emerged to become America’s music.  It features never-before-seen footage and photographs, plus interviews with more than 80 country music artists. This eight-part, 16-hour series is directed and produced by Ken Burns; written and produced by Dayton Duncan; and produced by Julie Dunfey.

The whole series will be available on your local PBS station, but you can watch a shortened, 45-minute screening of the film at the library. Watch it while you eat your lunch.

Refreshments will be served, but guests are of course welcome to bring their own food.
