Yankton Community Library invites all talented, terrible or anywhere in between artists over 18 to “Bad Art Night” at Willa B’s at 114 Douglas St on Thursday, July 11, at 6:30 p.m.

Participants will be provided with art supplies and one main objective: create some really, really bad art. This could be a painting or drawing, a sculpture, a mobile, a necklace, a collage — any kind of art you can imagine, as long as you can craft it with as little artistic talent as possible. Those who wish to submit their projects will have their artwork on display at the library from July 12-July 19. The public will be invited to vote for winners in categories such as “I Don’t Know What I’m Looking At,” “A Piece You’d Love to Put on Display (In Someone Else’s House)” and “Best Use of Mystery Items” (think Chopped). Have fun channeling your unartistic side.

This event is free and no registration is required. There will be snacks and drinks available for purchase at Willa B’s.

For questions, call the library at 605-668-5275 or email library@cityofyankton.org.
