Remember the three monkeys? The first covers his eyes, the second covers his ears, the third his mouth. See no evil. Hear no evil. Speak no evil.

Like the monkeys, South Dakota’s trio of “representatives” remain silent, ignoring the president’s ugliness and corruption. Do they think Donald Trump’s behavior is acceptable?

Sens. Thune and Rounds and Rep. Johnson apparently didn’t notice Donald Trump’s bragging about assaulting women. They seem OK with the president using his office for personal enrichment. What do they tell their kids about his daily lies? What about his constant insults, his nasty tweets? His coziness with dictators and his betrayal of America’s allies and friends?

History demonstrates that “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” When America desperately needs leadership, our men in Washington instead demonstrate complicity and cowardice. We need senators and representatives with the courage to stand up for right, to put country before partisan politics. Spineless silence allows the Trump corruption train to roll on.

I agree Sens. Thune and Rounds and Rep. Johnson are monkey . . . . well that's an insult to monkeys but you have to understand that it is the 8 years of Oblunder that gave us Trump. So I guess in a way we owe Barry a big thank you.

antiteaparty

"Barry Oblunder" AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The comedy out of you is truly golden, Iman! Original, too! It would take many a sleepless night for me to come up with the comedic milestones you seem to express with very little effort! Congrats, Iman! I see a sitcom in your future!

dmilroy

As always Iman response is an insult because he has nothing rational to offer.

Justthinking

So very true, thank you.

Jolly Roger

Iman, the biggest “thank you” is owed by Putin to Trump for his singular loyalty.

Justthinking

So very true.

Putin

And I owe a “big thank you,” to you, Iman. Here at the Kremlin’s Federal Security Service (formerly the KGB) we’ve been using your postings to illustrate our handbook on “Useful Idiots.” We’ll be sending you that T-shirt that’s so popular with Trumpsters: “I’d Rather be Russian than a Democrat” (Google it.) Remember - better Red than Dead! Keep up your inspired work! 🇷🇺

Justthinking

Excellent post, thank you.

GBR SD

Excellent opinion and spot on. When they are asked about Trump and his illegal ways they dance around the question and look stupid. Great comment.

Noelle

I agree completely! I am embarrassed by our representatives! They don't have the "Guts" to stand up and oppose this "idiot" in the White House. They let him "LIE" every day and don't call him out for it. Are they afraid of him? Or is it $$$$????

dmilroy

Jerry Wilson is correct. [thumbup][thumbup][thumbup]

DLJohnson

None of the previous commentators had the guts to run for offices they complain about. They all possess arm chair courage, pretending to be brave is easy when you don't have to accept the responsibility of making decisions based on what is best for the country. Somehow they think the realm of their easy chair makes them experts. It's going to be difficult for them when the hard dose of reality wakes them up . Do your speaking at the ballot box.

Don't you think that all your negative comments are actually resulting in a far more positive affect on the Trump campaign and the Trump message? Maybe the "idiots" are the Democrats, the Liberal Left and Antifa; the ones who are keeping the publicity spotlight on the President.

dmilroy

Mr. DLJohnson, your premise is false. As Americans, it is our responsibility to hold our elected representatives to their oath of office whether or not we have run for political office. Mr. Thune, Mr. Round, & Mr. Johnson have responded to questions about Trump’s conduct with varying degrees of silence. Their collective strategy is to keep their heads down a hope to survive. Ignoring abusive of office is cowardice.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: You have one reoccurring story line to your agenda. If our elected officials don't think like you think, act like you act or decide how you decide then they are wrong or not doing their job. If they decide/side with constituents that believe opposite of what you believe; they are not doing their job, they are just plain wrong or they are bending to the whims of others. If they would bend toward your whims then they would be correct and doing their job.

Who are you to decide what is an abuse of office? If they side with constituents that have an opposing view to yours and their view is within the Constitution, how is that not adhering or not being held to their oath of office? Just because they may disagree with you doesn't make them wrong.

You and your like thinkers consider yourselves peers to Republican officials and believe yourselves to be their jury. That would mean, according to your logic, those with opposing views to yours are your peers and therefore your jury. The bias you project when you judge will be reflected back as their bias when you are judged. And the vicious political merry-go-round will continue. You are going to reap what you sow.

dmilroy

If most South Dakotans agree with Mr. Thune, Mr. Round, & Mr. Johnson silence on President Trump’s conduct. It does not mitigate their cowardice. They took an oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Being silent while Mr. Trump uses his power as President to requests the Chinese and Ukrainian governments investigate his political opponents is dereliction of duty. Senators, Congressmen, and Presidents of all political parties are should be advocates for the rule of law. If we want to live in a representative democracy, then as citizens it our duty to hold those who refuse to do their jobs responsible for their actions.

Justthinking

Considering the fact that they are carved over a stable door in Japan, makes it even more appropriate.

Justthinking

Iman, He keeps the spotlight on himself with his insistent, fabricated fib tweets.

Iman

Thank You! Thank You Very Much! You are a fabricated lib twit.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: You write: "If most South Dakotans agree with Mr. Thune, Mr. Round, & Mr. Johnson silence on President Trump’s conduct. It does not mitigate their cowardice". Unfortunately your understanding of cowardice comes from what you see in the mirror. Do you object to the President's efforts to "drain the swamp" and root out the corrupt political operatives (the deep State) in Washington? Do you object to the economy, to the unemployment rate or do you just object to conservatives? Or do you object to them not agreeing with you?

You write: "They took an oath to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Being silent while Mr. Trump uses his power as President to requests the Chinese and Ukrainian governments investigate his political opponents is dereliction of duty". You find it ok for the Democrats to solicit a bogus report from a foreign agent to "dig up/ fabricate" dirt on Trump but are appalled that Trump asked China and Ukraine to investigate possible corruption/criminal activity committed in their country involving U.S. Citizens?

Watch the tape of Bidden boasting about threatening to withhold a billion dollars in aide to the Ukraine if they did not fire their prosecutor who was checking into a company's corruption that had Bidden's son on their board? Smells of corrupt activity by the sitting Vice President (Bidden) at the time. By his own words, admission to quid pro quo.

You write: "Senators, Congressmen, and Presidents of all political parties are should be advocates for the rule of law". The rule of law includes immigration law which the Democrats and liberals are advocating to not enforce. The Democrat Mayors and Governors who declare their States or Cities as Sanctuary and will not assist with enforcing the Federal Laws on immigration. By their actions they are condoning and allowing criminal activity. I believe that they take same oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States as well as their State Constitution and State and local laws.

In South Dakota the law provides that a law enforcement officer may, without a warrant, arrest a person: (1) For a public offense, other than a petty offense, committed or attempted in his presence; or (2) Upon probable cause that a felony or Class 1 misdemeanor has been committed and the person arrested committed it, although not in the officer's presence. The definition of a public offense in South Dakota is: "Offense" or "public offense," any crime, petty offense, violation of a city or county ordinance, or act prohibited by state or federal law.

You write: "If we want to live in a representative democracy, then as citizens it our duty to hold those who refuse to do their jobs responsible for their actions". That must include Mayors, Governors, Congressmen and Senators who represent and support sanctuary areas and refuse to assist in the enforcement of Federal Laws? Or do we just allow them to ignore the law without consequences?

Ethics and morals question; Do we have the right to refuse to obey or enforce Federal, State or Local laws? If your answer is yes.....why do we have laws then? It would be useless to pass laws if everyone had the right to refuse to obey or enforce them. And if your answer is yes, please point out the location of that right in the Constitution.

antiteaparty

Do you pray at your homemade Alter of Dump before you leave your house in the morning? Of course, this would be after you have spent hours consuming Faux News. You treat his every word as the gospel truth. Dump is draining the swamp... Ahahahahahahahahaha! Dump is rooting out corruption... Ahahahahahahahaha! The Bidens are the real corrupt ones... Ahahahahahahahaha! Does the poster of Dump above your bed soothe you when you sleep at night?

DLJohnson

antiteaparty: We all know that the political system in Washington is broken with the Democrats being a major cause. It took a non-politician to come in an shake things up. I don't need an alter at home when I have a ballot box where I can cast my vote.

I don't watch CNN or MSNBC so not exposed to faux news.

dmilroy

DLJohnson, unlike Mr. John Thune, Mr. Mike Rounds, and Mr. Dusty Johnson, I've have not been silent about President Trump’s attempts to get foreign leaders to intervene in our elections. You seem to think the economy mitigates President Trump's conduct but compromising America's national interest for personnel political gain is never exceptable. Trump's multitude of scandals shows his "drain the swamp" promise was just so much chin music. Mr. Trump has used his insider knowledge and connections to appoint a bevy of obscenely wealthy insiders to Washington jobs, where they all did what they know how to do best: Make money for themselves. The on-going revelations about Mr. Trump, Rick Perry, Rudy Guiliani, etc... shows Mr. Trump surrounds himself with swamp creatures. https://www.economist.com/united-states/2019/10/11/two-of-rudy-giulianis-friends-in-ukraine-are-arrested-and-charged

DLJohnson

dmilroy: Interesting that you align with a foreign owned organization based on classical liberalism, social liberalism, economic liberalism and radical centralism. Does that mean that you are a believer in socialism/communism? Do you prefer the systems of those foreign countries?

It's hard to drain the swamp when so many Democrat swamp creatures hold positions of power in the Congress and keep throwing up road blocks to progress. The Democrats are so obsessed with impeachment they are incapable of doing anything else, except for taking breaks from not doing their jobs and then comeback and continue to not do their jobs.

So you don't throw the BS flag when Democrats use their position and influence for financial gain, but you can't throw it fast enough if Republicans use the same conduct. There is a name for that condition.

You complain about "scandals" of Trump. But you stand mute on the scandals of Democrats in Congress that have cost the American taxpayers millions in settlement money.

Deflect and deny page one of the Democrat and swamp creature handbooks. Page two is blame the other side and continue to deflect and deny. Page three is lie your way out of everything.

How can so many politicians get elected to congress or the senate, go to Washington and in a short time become multi-millionaires on a job that pays $174,000.00 per year?

antiteaparty

"Deflect and deny page one of the Democrat and swamp creature handbooks. Page two is blame the other side and continue to deflect and deny. Page three is lie your way out of everything."

AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Yeah, because Dump is the bastion of honesty and humble enough to admit his shortcomings. AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

dmilroy

Mr. Johnson, Rather than dispute by actual arguments, you imply I am "a believer in socialism/communism" because I read the well-respected British magazine - The Economist. You ignore the fact that the indictment of Rudy Guiliani's associates was issued by the United State's Department of Justice. The Wall Street Journal reported federal prosecutors have been examining Giuliani’s finances, including bank records related to his work in Ukraine, since at least August. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/10/15/trump-lawyer-rudy-giuliani-ukraine-business-investigation/3986079002/ Even if you unsupported assertions about Democrats in congress was accurate, how does that excuse President Trump's conduct? "What-about-isms" are a logical fallacy.

George Washington, in his farewell address at the end of his presidency, argued that one of the greatest dangers to the United States involved the “insidious wiles” of foreign powers and their multiple avenues to improperly influence our political system. Washington urged Americans “to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government.” South Dakota Sentors and Congressmen need to due their job: protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America.

Jolly Roger

DLJohnson, there will be time to argue over domestic policy later. But now we have to notice that Putin owns our President and resist the sworn enemy of us all - the Russians.

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: Doesn't your name represent pirates (criminals) that were enemies to all as they raided ships on the high seas?

Putin

Thank you, DLJohnson. You “I’d rather be a Russian than a Democrat” Trumpsters are so loyal. Sure makes my job easier. Remember - don’t believe your lying eyes - just tune in to Fox and Friends. I think it was Lincoln who said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time.” Keep up the good work distracting these folks with your lengthy postings. 👍

DLJohnson

The "KGB" makes an entrance to the conversation. I can only surmise that you are a plant to have an affect on the 2020. Your tactics are implant disinformation to solicit sympathy for Socialist Democrats. Are you part of the foreign interference team?

DLJohnson

dmilroy: I did not imply that you believe in socialism/communism. I asked if you believe in socialism/communism. You did not deny believing in either in your response.

You brought up scandals involving Trump but deflect scandals involving the Democrats. Those members of congress used taxpayer money to pay off/settle with those complaining about their misconduct. Why do we have to pay for them thinking with their "small head"?

Yes we do have to be concerned by foreign influence. But we also need to be concerned about the "enemies within" that lurk through our government. Why then aren't you appalled that Democrats solicited the false Steal Dossier from foreigner? Why aren't you appalled that the upper echelon of the FBI ran with the false dossier and improperly used it start this circus?

What we have learned is that enemies within our government worked hand in hand with foreign agents (enemies) to try to unseat a sitting president.

My definition of a politician: A professional liar adept at placing his/her hand on your wallet for his/her gain.

dmilroy

Mr. Johnson, your loaded question is an implied insult. I directly address your vague assertions about congress. Your "whataboutisms" are a fallacy. You attempt to discredit my position by charging me with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving my argument. The whistle blowers and government official who revealed President Trump abuses of power are not "enemies within" but officials following their oath of office. The DNC collecting oppo research on Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign is not the same thing withholding hundred of millions of dollars in military assistant from Ukraine until they investigate Joe Biden.

Mr. Trump selected his own Trump Doral golf resort as the site of June’s G-7 summit. The president’s decision to exploit the G-7 summit for personal enrichment is so obviously corrupt, so shameless and extraordinary, that it seems strange to debate whether it is also unlawful. The biggest enemy within our government who seems determined to remove President Trump from office is Donald J. Trump.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: What's the personal enrichment? What about the savings to the taxpayers? I'm sorry, I forgot that you don't care about relief to the American taxpayers. Why can't other places step forward and lower their prices to have the summit held at their facility? You'd rather stay with the days where the taxpayers were strapped with paying $750.00 for a toilet seat.

dmilroy

DLJohnson asks "What's the personal enrichment?" Millions of dollars of taxpayer and foreign money needed to put on the G-7 summit that President Trump decided would go directly into his pocket. The Trump organization has along history of inflating costs to cheat the federal government. https://www.ais-cpa.com/tax-fraud-by-the-numbers-the-trump-timeline/ The U.S. Constitution prohibits a president from accepting money from foreign government officials unless Congress approves. https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2019-10-21/trump-retreats-backs-off-decision-to-host-g7-at-his-doral-resort Trump treats the Presidency as a infomercial for his struggling company. Trump constantly brags about his properties around the globe when he speaks with foreign leaders in person or by phone, even more than the public instances witnessed out in the open. https://www.politico.com/news/2019/10/20/trump-resorts-emoluments-foreign-leaders-050540

Justthinking

Apparently anyone who disagrees with the 3 monkeys and their leader are dubbed a communist or twit. Apparently they have turned a blind eye to the Fascist actions by their heroes. Not to mention they obviously don’t know the difference between Democratic Socialism and communism.

E pluribus

These family squabbles should be put on hold while we confront our foreign adversary, Russia. Putin‘s captured our President and now drives our foreign policy. Listen to what Admiral McRaven, the guy who masterminded taking down Osama Bin Laden, has to say about the fix we’re in. It’ll take a lot less time than reading through all this. https://youtu.be/6UKpV7osm_c

dmilroy

E pluribus [thumbup]

DLJohnson

E puribus: You talking the same Admiral McRaven who aligned himself with John Brennan? The same John Brennan who voted for Communist Party USA Presidential Candidate Gus Hall in 1976. The same John Brennan nominated by President Obama to be the CIA Director. And the same CIA Director who in 2014 faced scrutiny for CIA employees improperly accessing the computer servers of the Senate Intelligence Committee. The same guy who took offense at his activities being described as spying? You call that keeping good company? Do you know how to say Deep State?

DLJohnson

E pluribus and dmilroy: You seem to admire individuals with questionable political ethics and morals. Hopefully Admiral McRaven's questionable political ethics, morals and alignments do not tarnish his successful military career.

DLJohnson

So far I count eight (8) Jackasses (Democrats) complaining about three (3) (+1) monkeys (Republicans). This zoo has gotten out of control. We need to stop feeding the animals.

Putin

Thank you for your efforts DLJohnson. You certainly deserve that “I’d rather be Russian than a Democrat” t-shirt we’re sending you. However, until you learn to shorten your Fox and Friends diatribes into shorter, punchier offerings, I’m afraid Iman’s status as ”Useful Idiot of the Month” is secure. You can’t sway public opinion if your audience dozes off. If they snooze, we lose, dear Comrade. But don’t change that channel. Sean Hannity’s got nothing on you (except maybe $36 million a year). Пролетарии всех стран, соединяйтесь! ("Workers of the world, unite!)

Jolly Roger

Hey, DLJohnson, I’m curious to hear this: Can you please describe the “questionable political ethics, and morals” of, say, just two of our top military folks - Admiral McRaven and General Mattis? Just them - no questionable diatribes against their associates. (And could you Please, Please, do it in less than 250 words?) And before you spout the Fox and Friends line, you might want to read Admiral McRaven‘s OpEd piece and check out Mattis on YouTube. It might help you do a better job. And if you can’t stomach non-Fox American media, you might check out the BBC to see what the rest of the world is thinking. If you're only watching Fox and Friends, you may not know this, but Putin’s man - the doughty Captain Bone Spurs - is in serious trouble on so many fronts and needs the best performance you can muster ‘cause it’s getting worse. If you’re not up to this, just come up with the best names you can think of to call us, and we’ll grade you on the curve. Give it your best shot! I see Putin is watching your performance. (Just so you know - this is 194 words.)

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: Both Mattis and McRaven seem to have followed in the footsteps of Macarthur when opposing the course of action of the Commander in Chief. While I admire the military accomplishments of all three, I am disappointed that they took the low road into the sewer of politics. If you support military leaders opposing civilian authority you own the initial ingredients of coup d' etat. You must believe yourselves to be the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse",( Jolly Roger, Hillary, Putin and dmilroy ). Only your version of the Four Horsemen do not rain down from Heaven.

dmilroy

Your resort to name-calling and character assassination because you have no rational defense for President Trump's conduct. Protecting our elections from foreign interference used to be a bi-partisan objective. Senator Thune, Senator Rounds, and Congressman Johnson silence is cowardice because they know that member of South Dakota's Republican Party like DLJohnson, love Donald J. Trump more than the American ideal of free and fair elections.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: Don't worry about character assassination, you lack character to assassinate. You call what the Democrats tried to do during the 2016 election the American Ideal of free and fair elections?

dmilroy

DLJohnson, doubling down on your character assassination of Former CIA Director John Brennan, Admiral McRaven and General Mattis is irrational. Collecting information on a political opponent is not illegal. Using the power of the Presidency to encourage foreign government to investigate your political opponents is illegal.

The Steele dossier was commissioned by conservative political website The Washington Free Beacon to provide general opposition research on Trump and other Republican presidential candidates. In April 2016, an attorney for Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC separately hired a private company, Fusion GPS, to investigate Trump. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trump–Russia_dossier

Jolly Roger

DLJohnson, grading on the curve I’d give you a 40%. That’s the same shrinking, percentage of the American people the Real News Department at Fox counts as still hold out against impeaching the President. --But now you have to do better, since the same Fox News poll has 51% of Americans Supporting impeaching and removing him. —Did Putin send you that “I’d rather be a Russian than a Democrat” t-shirt yet? Just Google it to buy more. At $13.95, you can afford it - and why not, as long as you’re selling out the country, anyway.

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: Good thing I don't have to care about what kind of grading you do. Are you one of the 51%? I suppose you voted for Hillary too. Your so called polls predicted her to win. You have so much faith in polls but keep loosing when you rely on them. I don't have time to look up foolish t-shirt prices on Google like you do. I'm too busy being concerned about what the liberals and idiot Democrats are doing to bring down the country.

Putin

DLJohnson, you’ve got to up your game, quick. Cracks are appearing in Comrade Trump‘s firewall. One of those RINOS, Rep. Francis Rooney (Fla.) just went on record saying, “I’ve been real mindful of the fact that during Watergate, all the people I knew said, ‘Oh, they’re just abusing Nixon, and it’s a witch hunt.’ Turns out it wasn’t a witch hunt. It was really bad.” You know what a RINO is, da? In the Fatherland we know it means, “Russia Is Not Ours,” So we can’t let those RINOS desert Comrade Trump, can we? Nyet! Did you get that t-shirt yet? Never forget you’d rather be a Russian than a Democrat. Make Russia Great Again!! Yours in solidarity, Dasvidaniya 🖤🖤

DLJohnson

Putin: Or should I say the local idiot calling himself Putin. You just might be suffering a condition that requires psychiatric intervention. Please take your medication!

451‭°F‬

DLJohnson: Trump apologists once insisted “wiser heads” would prevail. We had nothing to fear with H.R. McMaster, Jim Mattis and John Kelly as senior advisers. Now they’re gone. Are all these warriors now just disgraced members of the “deep state”? Even Mitch McConnell has caught Trump Derangement Syndrome. Just to prepare yourself for what’s coming, you might want to read his OpEd excoriating our surrender to Russia/Turkey. Yes, That Mitch McConnell. Now we see he’s part of the Deep State, too.

DLJohnson

Only the ones that sunk into the sewer of politics. You know, the sewer you sunk into.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: I agree collecting information on your political opponent is not illegal. Going about it illegally is.

451‭°F‬

Hi, DLJohnson I’m guessing you’re enjoying this as much as I am. By the way, we’re getting on to 50 plus postings. Do you know what the record is? But I confess I’ve been slow to respond to your ad hominem debating tactics. So here’s my best shot: Oh yeah!? Oh yeah!? Says who!! You’re a doo doo head! And nobody wants to put their mat down next to you at nap time!! Plus you’re ugly, and your mommy dresses you funny. (How’m I doing, Sport? Your turn.)

DLJohnson

⬛️ I’ll keep saying this while you all squabble . We know exactly what the Russians want. No surprises here. It’s what the Russians have always wanted. It’s what Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, Kosygin, Brezhnev, Putin and a whole lot of lesser Russian Bosses have always dreamed of. They’ve always wanted us divided and arguing among ourselves while they “eat our lunch.” They've penetrated our electoral process, they have almost as many nukes as we do, and they're taking their sophisticated military hardware on a victory tour around the planet. We've got to stop these family quarrels and protect ourselves against the real enemy. If we emerge from this struggle with our Democracy intact, there’ll be time to argue later. ⬛️

DLJohnson

E pluribus: It's funny that you skirt the fact the Russians penetrated the electoral process under a Democrat President, Obama. All while the Democrats were giving millions of dollars to the Iranian holding U.S. sailors and abandoning U.S. citizens in diplomats and letting them die in Bengazi

Yes!!! There it is... Benghazi! Yes!!! Obviously the biggest scandal to ever shake our nation! More Benghazi! I think we need another Congressional hearing on Benghazi! There were only 9 investigations when Rethuglicans controlled the Congress! We need more Benghazi! Can we bring big, bad Trey Gowdy out of retirement to head a new Benghazi! hearing? We need more Benghazi! Devin Nunes' ears just perked up about the possibility about a new Benghazi! hearing. He is totes pumped y'all! We need more Benghazi! Okay. You want to talk about the American lives lost? Let's talk about weapons of mass destruction, shall we. Bush, Cheney and the rest of the Rethuglicans lied, literally lied, to drag America into a war we had no reason to be in. 1000s of American lives lost. Bush and Cheney probably belong in the Hague for the war crimes they committed. But, please do go on about the 4 lives lost in Benghazi. Perhaps it is you who deserves the throat punch.

DLJohnson misses my point. Even if her version of events were to prove correct, it shows the Russians are our enemies and must confronted. That’s why we should postpone these arguments and focus on our real enemies - not each other. She’s like someone in a lifeboat arguing over who punched the hole in the bottom of the boat before they will fix it. Instead of resisting the Russians, her smaller purpose seems only to win her debating points.

DLJohnson

I see that the comment cops deleted a couple of my comments that were responses to comments from antiteaparty. It appears that they may have been offended to my who deserves a "throat punch" comment. Neither was a threat to go out and throat punch someone. They delete my comment but leave the antiteaparty comment that I may deserve the throat punch. Either bad form or favoritism.

A free and impartial press?

antiteaparty

You seem upset about the comment deletions. There is a popular shirt that a lot of Dumpsters wear to a Dump rally. It says something along the lines of "F*** Your Feelings". That is appropriate at this moment.

DLJohnson

antiteaparty: Just concerned that you, like the Democrats are receiving preferential treatment from a media source that is suppose to be fair and impartial. You misunderstand, my feelings are not hurt. We now have evidence of a corrupt media and its minions. Its going to be difficult for them to recover from the damage that they have done to themselves.

antiteaparty

I'm sure they are very concerned about your concerns. You should show them how serious you are and boycott the P&D comment section! That'll show them.

E pluribus

Rather than leaving the discussion, it would be better if DLJohnson would shift her gaze to grapple with the greater Russian threat confronting us.

DLJohnson

E pluribus: Why do you keep supplying information/evidence of your medical/mental problems? We now know that your vision, perception and ability to recognize have been severely damaged. That is, unless your miss identification of gender is your lame attempt to seem superior. Or are you actually showing us that you are as stupid as AOC?

The Russians are amateurs compared to the threat you and your comrades pose. Please prepare for your rapid downward spiral when Trump is re-elected in 2020. The Democrats will be Lemmings running into the sea.

antiteaparty

If you really think Dump is going to get re-elected you are more coo-coo for Cocoa Puffs than I had thought. He's gonna be out of office before then anyway. Either through removal or resignation. Keep smokin the good stuff, DL.

DLJohnson

antiteaparty: I can't do that. They/You would develop the delusion that they/you won something. I'm sure that I can come up with something better.

dmilroy

Even John Thune sees the writing on the wall. John Thune (R-SD), the second-ranking Senate Republican, admitted Wednesday that former Ukraine ambassador Bill Taylor’s testimony was “not a pretty picture.

Ofcourse, President Trump sent out a warning to him and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) not long after. “The Never Trumper Republicans, though on respirators with not many left, are in certain ways worse and more dangerous for our Country than the Do Nothing Democrats,” Trump tweeted, and then pinned to the top of his Twitter feed. “Watch out for them, they are human scum!” Anyone voicing the obvious about Mr. Trump's criminal conduct is called "human scum."

DLJohnson

dmilroy: It is easy to control the narrative when you do things in secret and do not allow cross examination by the other party. The Democrats are afraid to open up the "hearings" for the public to hear the testimony and the answers under cross examination. The Democrats are afraid to have the public hear and to witness what is going on because they could not handle their house of cards collapsing in around them.

When that happens, who are the Democrats going to call to come pull them out of the rubble? I can imagine it now; "This is 911 (the public) what is your emergency?. We are the Democrats calling our house of cards collapsed in on us, we need help. 911 (the public); your situation (of your own making) is not classified as an emergency. Please call back on routine business lines and the next available operator will direct you to the appropriate division to discuss you situation.

Hey dmilroy, more "thieves of the night". Doing things in secret, under cloak and behind the backs of the public. Do you know how to say Kangaroo? You know, like the court the Democrats are holding.

You gotta wait for the other shoe to drop.

antiteaparty

Uh-oh! It looks like Rethuglicans enjoy closed door hearings as well. Here's Trey Gowdy (you know who he is, right? Mr. Benghazi!) on July 15, 2018: Rep. @TGowdySC on the House hearings with Peter Strzok and Lisa Page: "Well, our private hearing was much more constructive than the public hearing. Public hearings are a circus. That's why I don't like to do them. I mean, it's a freak show." Do Rethuglicans have a do as we say not as we do mentality? I say, oh mercy, yes!

What is even better is that the Democrats are going to bring back witnesses to testify in open hearings. I can't help but wonder what all the Dumpsters will cry about then. Oh, those cups of conservative tears sure do quench my thirst.

antiteaparty

Also, there are Rethuglicans on those committees who are able to attend the hearings and ask questions. Don't the rest of the Rethuglicans in Congress trust their party cohort to ask good questions and rebut the Democrats questions? Did you know, DLJohnson, that committees in Congress are comprised of members of BOTH parties???

Jolly Roger

Blimey! I think E Pluribus just outed DLJohnson! Notice her Freudian slip: “miss identification.” And really, DL, we know a Trumpster would never accept a simple personal declaration of gender identity. You need to show us your birth certificate! Then we can also see whether you're actually an American citizen instead of a Russian agent.

ClownsRus

How amusing! None of you have been able to match DLJohnson for her personal attacks and character assassinations. Now that E pluribus has outed her, you can see that just referring to her as her true sexual identity is a wonderful antidote to her schoolyard tactics. I‘m used to people laughing at me - now we’ll see how she deals with it.

dmilroy

Mr. DLJohnson, Repubicans criticize the impeachment process because they cannot defend President Trump's conduct. Your Republican talking points don't stand-up to close scurtiny. 45 Republicans can participate in the hearings if they choose because they are members of the committees conducting the hearings. They can aske any question they choose. This includes some Republican members who participated in the publicity stunt yesterday. You haven't been paying attention to the public statements issued by the witnesses. Its the Trump Administration's story that is falling like a house of cards. On Sep 27, 2019 5:49pm, you wrote, "The Democrats need to get the ball rolling on (impeachment). I'm tired of all their threatening and then a half a " but you're complaining about the impeachment process. (Source comments section here: https://www.yankton.net/opinion/letters/article_411fdda8-e4c1-11e9-916f-c748d4d70925.html )

DLJohnson

dmilroy: You may be mistaken. Haven't the Democrats described the closed door/secret process as taking depositions from the witnesses

dmilroy

"Haven't the Democrats described the closed door/secret process as taking depositions from the witnesses?" No, all members of the committee Republicans and Democrats can participate in closed door interviews of witnesses. Closed door committee meetings are never open to the press and people who are not on the committee.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: That's what I said. Let's get this show on the road. Prove high crimes and misdemeanors. Or at least take a vote in congress and kick up to the "Upper Class Men and Women (Senate)" so we can put an end to the bull***t.

dmilroy

Mr. Johnson, The Congress investigating the conduct of President Trump is exactly what you requested. Soon they will release the transcripts of the hearings and hold public hearing on Mr. Trump's high crimes and misdemeanors. The full House will then vote on whether to impeach Mr. Trump. If they vote yes, then Mr. Trump will be tried in the Senate.

When a crime is committed, the first step is not to ask a jury if the accused criminal is guilty. First, you gather the facts (The current Congressional hearings). Determine if a crime has been committed (Future public hearings by Judiciary Committee). Indite the person who is accused of committing a crime (A future impeachment vote by the full house). The person is tried in front of jury of his peer ( A future trial in the U.S. Senate). Only then, is the crime put before a jury (The future vote to remove the President).

DLJohnson

ClownsRus: You've gotta try harder. And you keep forgetting....someone first has to have character before it can be assassinated. "You need to wake up and pay attention if you want to become somebody in life".

DLJohnson

ClownsRus: You taking over for Putin? Or, did you all come together under one name that describes your true essence?

DLJohnson

JollyRoger: I am really impressed that you were able to figure that out! You must be giddy with pride about your progress. Did you learn about Freud at group?

Jolly Roger

Ooo... “Miss Identification “ is really peeved. Four nasty posts in a row‼️ Intentionally or not, it looks like E pluribus really got to her.👍

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: It appears that group is not working for you. Still on your merry go round traveling in circles with no direction. Most call that the disease of Democrats and Socialists. You can take the cure....become a Republican and find a path in life.

Jolly Roger

Hey, antiteaparty and dmilroy, just want to say you’re both doing a great job of “fact checking” DLJohnson. You’ll never change her mind, of course but it’s useful for those watching. And don’t lose the high road and get down in the gutter with her. I‘ll take care of that.

ClownsRus

Dear Miss Identification: You and your pals at Fox and Friends are doing your best against an unfair bias (the truth). But antiteaparty and dmilroy are eating your lunch on the facts. Instead of wasting your time insulting a clown, you might broaden your information sources. Until then you'll always be overmatched.

DLJohnson

ClownsRus: Your name suits you. Remember the song Send in the Clowns? Now its the tag line for the Democrats. It's not a waste of time to out the person(s) identifying as a clown. Did I hear correct, your party had to close its South Dakota Offices due to financial problems? You should dig into your moldy money and help them out. But, maybe you don't even support your party.

DLJohnson

We all know what keeps a rattle snake from biting a Democrat..........professional courtesy. And this is a new discovery; the reason a rattle snake does not bite a liberal or a socialist.........it recognizes poison when it sees it.

Jolly Roger

DLJohnson is running on fumes. There's an old legal saying that goes, "If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts. If you have the law on your side, pound the law. If you have neither on your side, pound the table." DLJohnson has adopted a fourth tactic. It’s the last resort of a sad loser: She hurls insults at her opponents. And she’ll have to keep doing this if all she has is Fox & Friends talking points. But hey, DLJ, can you at least work up some better insults? Yours are getting pretty lame.

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: Your party is on life support in South Dakota. Are you going to do a DNR and abandon it? Too bad you do not have what it takes to sustain it. You still have the option of correcting your wayward past. Become a Republican and we will help you shed all your bad habits. You have a chance at a life away from the sins of the liberal Antifa and Democratic Socialism (first cousin to Communism).

I apologize, I did not realize your skin was so thin and that your touchy feely buttons were so easily bruised. Find that good little pirate that is lost deep inside of you. You have to come out of the darkness and come into the light.

Make Yourself Great For The First Time. and then you can help" MAGA". I have faith in you even when you do not.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: You write; "The Congress investigating the conduct of President Trump is exactly what you requested. Soon they will release the transcripts of the hearings and hold public hearing on Mr. Trump's high crimes and misdemeanors". Your writing indicates that they already have proof on high crimes and misdemeanors. If that is the case, why can't they move forward with a vote in congress to impeach and send it to the Senate to impeach or not? Their failure to move forward speaks volumes indicating that they have no proof of high crimes and misdemeanors.

Where is the proof Schiff stated that he had? No facts at the time to back up the statement. Now he's on a mad scramble to manufacture evidence to save face from his lie. Muller let him down, the deep state is letting him down. Pretty soon it will be the" Four Stooges" ( Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer and Nadler) all alone on an island in the middle of shark (taxpayers) infested waters.

Where's the popcorn? Don't know if their theatrical performance is going to turn out to be a comedy, a tragedy, a mystery or a box office flop. So far it is leaning toward a flop.

ClownsRus

Soon we’ll get to hear from John Bolton. That should be interesting. How do think that’ll go, DLJohnson? Is Bolton part of the Deep State? Is he a closet Socialist? A Never-Trumper? You might start thinking on how to delegitimize him. A few new insults to hurl at dmilroy and antiteaparty might help, too

DLJohnson

Hey Clown, it will be done behind closed doors so you won't be hearing from him. If anything you here a doctored narrative from Schiff. Unlike you, I want to hear the words out of the man's mouth while under oath, while being examined and cross examined, to determine for myself if I believe he is being truthful and accurate. I guess we will have to wait to see what the senate can do about us actually witnessing any testimony Bolton may have. You seriously need to reconsider who you believe in.

dmilroy

Mr. Johnson, I wrote that following the investigation you asked for the full House will then vote on whether to impeach Mr. Trump. If they vote yes, then Mr. Trump will be tried in the Senate. President Donald Trump stood on the lawn of the White House on Thursday Oct 3, 2019 and, in front of the entire world, called on foreign powers to interfere in American elections. That, the record of his phone call with the President of Ukraine, and the sworn testimony of public officials in his administration are damning evidence of wrong doing. Jumping to the end of a criminal investigation without following the process established by the U.S. House of Representatives and the Constitution is not a good idea. Your childish name-calling shows the weakness of your arguments. The house of cards built by Mr. Trump's corruption has and will damage our country as it comes tumbling down.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: What words did President Trump use to call on foreign powers to interfere in American elections? I did not hear the words to interfere in American elections. I do recall him asking them to investigate criminal corruption committed in their country by American citizens with a connection to the Obama administration. Did you just lie or just push what the Democrats and biased media want to beat into the heads of the American public?

So, you are indicating that it is wrong to try to stop corruption? Are you on the side of the law that would benefit if we gave up on trying to stop corruption?

If , as your writing indicates, the Democrats have proof of high crimes and misdemeanors, why would it be jumping ahead? To the contrary, the actions of the Democrats speaks volumes that they do not have proof of high crimes and misdemeanors and are desperately trying to manufacture the evidence that they claim to already have. In other words, they are trying to cover up their lies with manufactured evidence.

If the supposed perpetrator and the supposed victim state that there was no quid pro quo how can you prove that there was? I see, you are going to try to convince us that they both are lying.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: Did I bruise your "I'm sensitive" button? I am really sorry that having some light shed on your Democrat farce has caused you such distress. Do you think there is some relief for you in the Obama affordable care act? Or would you really prefer health care remedy that actually saves you money and gets you the treatment you need? In the mean time you could apply some ICE to keep the swelling down. Kinda like the way ICE keeps the swelling of illegal aliens down in our country.

E pluribus

DLJohnson

E pluribus: How did the Russians manipulate the 2016 election? How did they vote in the election? Where did they vote? Name the Russians that voted in the election? Or are you saying that Americans voted but they did not vote for Hillary and you've gotta blame somebody other than your candidate Hillary? It's good that our forefathers developed away for the whole country to determine our future....not just the few highly populated areas pushing their B.S. down our throats.

DLJohnson

Antiteaparty, dmilroy, E pluribus, ClownsRus, Putin and Jolly Roger: You all made it too easy to assist you in bringing out into the open your blind complicity in the Democrat corruption. Your abnormal hatred and emotionally controlled actions have made it easy for the Democrat puppet masters to hook you and reel you in. Remember, the tables can turn in the future and what you subject the President and the Republicans to now will be visited upon you in the future. Without knowing it you are defining how you will be treated/dealt with. Turn about is fair play, correct? Can you handle what you have started?

So when you fact check this you will learn that you and your conduct are to blame. Thankfully not all Democrats have fallen into the trap you have fallen into. There is hope for them, but it is sad to say you all appear to be "damaged goods" and hopeless.

Doesn't it appear that the Democrats have been trying very hard to give a new meaning/definition to the word "troubling" to make the word synonymous with criminal? (Sorry for the word count...hope that it is not too much for you to handle).

dmilroy

DLJohnson, the impeachment inquiry is getting the bottom of President Trump's misconduct and abusive power. The facts are damning. When President Trump said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose his followers, he was talking about people like you. You will follow no matters the facts. If Mr. Trump is not held accountable for his conduct, then all future President's will be above the law. One of President Donald Trump's private attorneys told a federal appeals court panel that Trump could not be investigated or prosecuted if he shot someone on Fifth Avenue. Pure [censored]! Under our Constitution no one is above the law. Like you President Trump welcomed impeachment, now he has no one to blame but himself.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: Your Democrats, Obama and Hillary placed themselves above the law, but that it fine with you. So, you believe that the Constitution does not apply to Obama and Hillary. It is fitting that the jury (voting public) removed the Democrats from the Presidency by voting in the Republic Donald Trump. Let's see how many people died who were opposed to or possessed evidence against Hillary? Your fantasy will turn into your nightmare in 2020. You will reap what you sow!

dmilroy

Mr. Johnson, Hillary Clinton received two and a half million more votes than Donald Trump. https://www.cnn.com/2016/12/21/politics/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-popular-vote-final-count/index.html Your vague unsupported accusations about "Democrats, Obama, and Hillary" are meaningless. Hillary is not running fot President but both you and Mr. Trump can't let go of your false and unsupported accusations because whataboutism is the only argument you have left. The followers who love Trump more than basic American values such as the rule of law and free and fair elections may indeed turn 2020 into a nightmare. No only for me but for our representative Republic. As you point out, the tables can turn. In the future if Trump is not impeached, then all Presidents will be able to abuse the power of their office without consequences.

DLJohnson

Hey dmilroy. look at the electoral college by county map from the 2016 election. Compare the red to the blue. Enough said.

E pluribus

It’s really not enough said. The electoral college hasn’t actually “worked for years”. It was originally Constitutionally crafted to entice the slave states to join the Republic. It wasn't enough that the Constitution guaranteed the slave masters that they could count ⅗ of each of their slaves to boost their representation in Congress. Five times since our founding, the electoral college has given us rule by minority presidents. The last two were George W. Bush and Mr. Trump. Each of these five times were/are followed by serious political turmoil. In my opinion - like the shameful ¾ representation itself - it needs to be changed.

DLJohnson

E pluribus: You are an advocate of Urban areas to push their will down the throats of the rural people. I see where you are coming from, scr*w the farmers and the rural folk. A typical elitist attitude.

dmilroy

DLJohnson, small states like South Dakota take up lots of room on the electoral college map but more people live in Columbus, OH than in our entire state. When America was founded only the House of Representatives were directly elected by the people. We have changed our Constitution again and again to make our Republic responsive to the will of the people Blacks, Native Americans, Woman were all allowed to vote. The Senate is elected by the voters not the state legislatures. The story of our Nation has been towards more democracy not less. However, in two of the past five elections, the candidate who rejected most votes did not win the election. This had happen only once in 200 years until the 2000 presidential campaign. The electoral college may have made sense in the 1800's but now it is blocking the will of the voters.

DLJohnson

dmilroy: The same elitist attitude as E pluribus. I see where you are coming from. You are leaning to left to democratic socialism to take from all the folks in the rural areas to give to those in the" farrowing pens" of the populated urban areas.

Jolly Roger

I like it when DLJohnson is reduced to snark. Reading her long posts was getting tedious. And I’m glad so many folks are doing the heavy lifting here to push back on her mindless insults which she puts out instead of debating the facts. Folks like antiteaparty, dmilroy, bjs12258 and others are the kind of people I always tried to sit behind when the tests were being handed out in History class.

Jolly Roger

DLJohnson slams dilmilroy’s take on the Electoral College as an attempt to “take from all the folks in the rural areas.” But thanks to the Electoral College, the reality is that our skewed balance of political power allows most rural states (including our good old South Dakota) to take from “all the folks” in the urban states as we rake in more federal dollars than we pay in federal taxes. Either DLJ doesn’t mind and doesn’t want to relinquish her dependence on the government, or she’s too ignorant to even notice. Maybe she’s proud she isn’t an “elitist,” but she’s not too proud to pick the pockets of “elitists” whose votes don’t count as much as hers.

ClownsRus

Our “Welfare Queen,” DLjohnson, has given us the definition of Socialism. If it’s government money 💰 going to someone else, it’s socialism. If it’s government money 💰 going to you it’s not. 🤑

DLJohnson

Jolly Roger: You don't know what a fact is. At least you spelled it correctly. Thanks for admitting you're the caliber of person who can not achieve on his own merits. Lt. Col Vindman said the democrat lynch word, troubling. Is troubling a crime? Is troubling a level of guilt in America? Is troubling proof of anything? And what is with your hero Schiff not allowing Vindman to answer a question from a Republican member of the committee. Did you lie when you said the Republicans on the committee get to ask questions of the witness? Or did you just leave off that the witnesses don't get to answer those questions? Is that the Democrat definition of transparent?

Friedrich Farmer

Since you have so much to say defending our President, I wonder if you could give us some encouragement on how his trade war will work out for farmers?

DLJohnson

Friedrich Farmer: We all know that the world depends on the American farmer and rancher to feed them. The trade war will not change the demand for food products from the American Farmers and Ranchers. Supply and demand will drive those markets. Foreign countries will continue to trade with the U.S. Farmers and ranchers instead of going hungry. The manufactures of the world who use agricultural products in their processes will continue to need those U.S. agricultural products. Wouldn't a better deal be good for you?
