Now that you, based on “media reports” (not everyone trusts all the media reports) have called for the inquiry into President Trump’s conversation last July with the Ukrainian president (Press & Dakotan, Sept. 25), will you also call for an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden’s actions with regard to the Ukraine.

The vice president bragged on the record that he would have $1 billion withheld from the Ukraine if the prosecutor investigating the firm for which his son was working, was not fired. He said I told him if that prosecutor is not gone by the time my plane leaves this afternoon, you will not get the $1 billion. He goes on to say the prosecutor was fired so there you go.

On its face, that would seem a clear quid-pro-quo and worthy of investigation. Anything else would be a clear double standard. If you don’t believe it, watch the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6zFXc_CNR8.

Mr. Trump's Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson reviewed the whistler-blower complaint against Donald Trump last month and determined it was “credible” and of “urgent concern.” Mr. Trump's Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire stated the whistle-blower who raised concerns about Trump's interactions with Ukrainian officials did the "right thing" in a "unique and unprecedented" case. In contrast, the allegations against Joe Biden are baseless. https://www.factcheck.org/2019/09/trump-twists-facts-on-biden-and-ukraine/

Oh boy! Here we go again! Roger, perhaps you haven’t noticed, but your Justice Department under Trump’s lawyer, Mr. Barr, is traveling the world, investigating anything that promises even a scintilla of shaky evidence. They’re even playing us “Golden Oldies” from the past, going through Hillary‘s old emails again. But maybe they’re under such pressure they’ve overlooked this. Why don’t you send this letter to them? Maybe the “double standard” is their’s? At least that’s better than no standards at all. 🤡

antiteaparty

Dump's phone call was so "perfect" that it took Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo two weeks to admit that he listened in. Ahh, yes, Nothing-burger.

SoDakD

Yes, Ken, none of us should trust all the media. But did you hear Mike Wallace of FoxNews ask White House representative, Steve Miller, the question most relevant to your concern over the double standard? It’s a question Miller wouldn’t answer: If the case against Joe Biden is so strong, why did the White House not use the FBI or another federal agency to investigate? (Send them your letter - they still could.) Instead Trump used his personal lawyer, the excitable Rudy Giuliani. Maybe you could write us a second letter exploring this “double standard”?

SoDakD

Good golly gee willikers! “Professor,” SoDakD can’t even remember who he’s talking to (it’s Roger, Bro - who’s Ken?), But he does raise at least one interesting point about FoxNews. A few Talking Heads on FoxNews like Chis Wallace, Shepard Smith and Judge Napolitano are starting to break with Fox’s unquestioning support of Trump. Heck, the Judge just said that Trump’s behavior was "both criminal and impeachable." True, the couch-sitters on Fox and Friends and Hannity and Tucker, will stick with him until the end, but I’m guessing that the Fox Management is looking at their aging viewership (mostly white folks over 65) and see a little problem coming when Trump is gone - whether that’s sooner or later. For all you folks who get your opinions from Fox and Friends, I’m not even challenging you to look at NPR, PBS or the BBC. Stay in your comfort zone, but see what else Fox is saying. 🤡

Well, I’ll be darned! A recent discussion over guns on this feed drew several dozen responses. But the alarm over the President’s betrayal of the Ukrainians to the Russians has only elicited a few. I like my guns too, but where are all my fellow gun-toting patriots?? 🤡

Iman

You libb/socialist/communists are entertaining. Hey . . . . I heard about this new book - "Everything Liberal/Socialist Know" . . . . . I got a copy. It has one blank page. I called the publisher and he said "yep. . . that's all they know"

antiteaparty

Wooheeee Doggie! That was fantastic, Iman. You should take it on the road. I'm sure you'll make millions with that kind of hilarious, original content!

Hi, Iman, I enjoy your entertaining postings, too. You’ve posted several notable one-liners, but I can’t help wondering what you think about things. Please don’t drop out like Kate.🤡

dmilroy

Iman's posts are all the same. He offers no rational argument to support his point of view but launches petty personal attacks insulting those he disagrees with.

Iman

that is a [censored] lie, you [censored] liberal!

antiteaparty

Here, once again, Iman lays out a very poignant argument that can not be refuted. Obviously, Iman wins this debate with the use of censored words.

dmilroy

Iman proves my point.

Sooooo Roger, here we are days later since your post...how you feeling now about your incorrect comment? You Trump defenders are seriously running out of "but this, but that" excuses. I still am waiting for an explanation as to why you think it is ok for the president of the United States to ask a foreign government to spy on of our own citizens. I don't care who the president is and if there is an R a D or an I in front of their name IT IS WRONG and impeachable!

Hi again, Iman. It’s OK by me if your thing is making fun of everyone without putting out your own ideas. I especially appreciated your clever “apocalyptic caterwaulers” riff to that piece about climate. You were the only one to comment. Nobody on this feed seems to care about climate change anyway, so there’s no reason not to enjoy whistling past the flooded graveyard on the road to perdition. Was that your subtle point? Anyway, why not pick an appropriate avatar like me and a few others so I can pick you out of the crowd when I’m in a hurry?🤡

It just amazes me how quickly the GOP will move to deflect. Trump solicited a "favor" from Ukraine? Quick - we must investigate Joe Biden! It's just laughable. Here's what those guy don't seem to understand - Trump is the PRESIDENT. Are others in WAS corrupt? I'm pretty sure they are. However, none of them are PRESIDENT. The President of the United States has always been, and must continue to be, held to a higher standard than anyone else. He is the leader of our nation and is expected to be honorable, trustworthy, rational, and pious. These are the qualities were expect from our President - none of which apply to Trump. So regardless of what anyone else has done, our President must be above suspicion so that we, and the world, can have faith and trust in his leadership. Trump - with his juvenile name-calling, antics while meeting with other world leaders, violating the enoulments clause in plain sight, nepotism, constant lying, Twitter rants and infantile outbursts - has disgraced himself and all of us as well. This man does not have what it takes to be the President of America.
