A memorial service for Myron E. Falter age 94 of Norfolk will be held at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Norfolk on June 3, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.

Myron E. Falter passed away on May 22, 2019, at the Heritage of Bel Air Nursing Home.

Ashburn Funeral Home in Plainview is in charge of arrangements.

Myron was born August 5, 1924 in Creighton, Nebraska to Fred and Amanda (Manke) Falter. He was a graduate of Creighton High School and attended Wayne State Teachers College.

On May 16, 1946 Myron married Velma Mathine. To this union was born two children, Christine and Tom. Together they were owners of Ideal Market in Plainview for 25 years. Myron and Velma moved to Norfolk in 1997.

Velma passed away in 1998. In January, 2000 Myron married Monica Schramm.

Myron was a huge Husker fan and loved baseball. He followed the activities of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His love of dancing kept him going and was disappointed when the Sunday afternoon dances were no longer in Plainview. His favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas.

Myron is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, his brothers Cecil, Gerald, Lesley, and Dwayne, and sisters Dorothea and Janith.

Myron will be remembered by his wife, Monica, daughter Christine, son Tom, grandchildren Chad, Abbie, Tom, and Megan, and 9 great grandchildren. He will also be remembered by his stepchildren Donna and Rich Hawley, Steve and Eilleen Schramm, John and Carmen Schramm, Karla and Barry Seyer, Dave and Deb Schramm, Brenda and Jay Fleecs, and grandchildren. He also will be remembered by the Good Time coffee group which he joined in 1997. He truly loved the laughter and fellowship of these great friends.

Memorials will be family choice and Norfolk Veterans Home.
