OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — KJ Robinson matched his season high with 24 points as Omaha won its eighth consecutive home game, narrowly beating Western Illinois 87-82 in overtime on Thursday night.

Robinson had a chance to win it in regulation, but Zion Young blocked his layup attempt with 3 seconds left to force overtime knotted at 72. Robinson added a 3-pointer, and a pair of free throws with 2 seconds left to seal it.

Matt Pile had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Omaha (11-10, 4-2 Summit League). JT Gibson added 13 points and Marlon Ruffin had 12.

Kobe Webster had 17 points for the Leathernecks (5-12, 2-5). James Claar added 13 points. Ben Pyle had 13 points and nine rebounds.

Omaha matches up against Purdue Fort Wayne at home on Saturday. Western Illinois matches up against North Dakota on the road on Saturday.
