Prom Power

After a one-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Yankton High School (YHS) prom returned to the school calendar Saturday, albeit in an altered form. The annual Grand March was held at the YHS main gym, with 117 couples participating. Also, the audience was limited to those with vouchers, which has been part of the school district’s COVID policy during the school year. However, the school did not host a dinner and dance. SHOWN: Some post-Grand March events were organized by a group of YHS parents, who collected money from the community to present a dinner and dance at an off-campus facility Saturday night. The theme of the event was “A Night in the City.”
