Out In The Cold

A shroud of fog enveloped Yankton’s Avera Sacred Heart Hospital earlier this week. This winter fog phenomenon occurs during cold weather, and it factors in the temperature and the humidity as well as the temperature of the open waters of the Missouri River. It usually happens a handful of times each winter in Yankton and creates thick, isolated fog events within a few blocks of the river.
