A Total Loss

The Yankton Fire Department responded to an ATV fire six miles west of Yankton Thursday afternoon. Deputy Fire Chief Larry Nickles told the Press & Dakotan that, around 5 p.m., an ATV that had been having mechanical problems caught fire along Highway 50. The vehicle was a total loss and a small grass fire also started as a result, but no injuries were reported. The Yankton Fire Department was the sole responding agency to the incident.
