Soccer Field Fire

A weekend fire at the Lewis & Clark Soccer Complex destroyed a storage shed Sunday night. According to deputy fire chief Larry Nickles, crews were called to a shed fire on the complex grounds at around 8:20 p.m. after the fire was noticed by a security guard. One structure, valued at $3,500, was destroyed while another adjacent structure received $1,000 in damage. Four port-a-potties and a handwashing station that had been on site for a recent tournament were also destroyed. The fire is being investigated by the Yankton Police Department and the Yankton Fire Department. For video, visit www.yankton.net.
