Rob Nielsen/P&D

Two people were injured after a vehicle struck a building Sunday morning. Yankton Deputy Fire Chief Larry Nickles told the Press & Dakotan that, shortly before noon Sunday, a vehicle traveling northbound on Green St. lost control, hopped the curb, crossed 23rd St., crossed a parking lot and hit an office building in the 600 block of 23rd St. Two people in the vehicle were transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Yankton Police Department is investigating the crash. Nickles said the building received damage but was unable to give an estimate. Yankton County EMS also responded to the scene.
