Flying Colors

The approach of autumn brings the annual migration of monarch butterflies through the Yankton area. The southbound insects often take shelter in trees, such as these maple trees in rural Yankton County, and move quickly when in flight. Their brilliant colors can be hidden when their wings are folded. They should have good flying weather for the next few days, with mostly sunny skies expected through the weekend. For forecast details, see page 2.
