Heading Into Holy Season
Father Tom Anderson of Yankton’s St. Benedict Catholic Church sprinkles ashes on the head of a Sacred Heart Elementary School student during an Ash Wednesday service Wednesday afternoon to commence the season of Lent. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the ashes were sprinkled on heads to avoid any contact during the service.
