Daily Record Policy

The Press & Dakotan publishes police and sheriff reports as a public service to its readers. It is important to remember that an arrest should not imply guilt and that every person is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. When juveniles are released from jail, it is into the care of a parent or guardian.

It is the policy of the Press & Dakotan to publish all names made available in the police and court reports. There are no exceptions.

Arrests

• Destiney Bloemendaal, 26, Tucson, Ariz., was arrested Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia; keeping a place for the use or sale of a controlled substance; and unauthorized manufacture, distribution, counterfeiting or possession of substances with a high potential for abuse (felony).

• Owen Hennings, 38, Sioux Falls, was arrested Friday for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, inhabiting a room where a controlled substance is used or stored and unauthorized ingestion of a controlled drug or substance.

• Patrick Bettelyoun, 39, Yankton, was arrested Friday on a parole hold for fourth-degree rape, inhabiting a room where a controlled substance is used or stored, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

• James Chase, 27, Yankton, was arrested Friday on a parole hold for second-degree rape (forcible rape).

• Carlie Davis, 24, Yankton, was arrested Friday on a warrant for violation of terms and conditions.

• Joseph Weddell, 27, Yankton, was arrested Friday on a parole hold.

• Cole Globke, 22, Hurley, was booked Friday on a facility hold for the Turner County Sheriff’s Office and on a warrant for violation of terms and conditions.

• Katelyn Fredricks, 19, Sioux Falls, was booked Friday on a facility hold for the Turner County Sheriff’s Office.

• Stephanie Sorensen, 54, Springfield, was booked Saturday on a facility hold for Bon Homme County.

• Ashton White-Olesen, 22, Parker, was booked Saturday on a facility hold for the Turner County Sheriff’s Office.

• Nicholas Eastman was arrested Saturday on a parole hold for driving under the influence.

• Shelbi Lee, 21, Yankton, was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence.

• Alexander Vetter, 24, Yankton, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear.

• Kyle Hlavac, 35, Yankton, was arrested Sunday for contempt, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and simple assault (domestic).

• Jacob Miner, 21, Yankton, was arrested Monday on a parole hold for threatening a law enforcement officer or family and resisting arrest.
