Daily Record Policy

The Press & Dakotan publishes police and sheriff reports as a public service to its readers. It is important to remember that an arrest should not imply guilt and that every person is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. When juveniles are released from jail, it is into the care of a parent or guardian.

It is the policy of the Press & Dakotan to publish all names made available in the police and court reports. There are no exceptions.

Arrests

• John Dooley, 33, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear.

• Michael Gear, 61, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Kathryn Johnson, 27, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for unauthorized possession of a controlled substance, ingestion of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana (2 oz. or less).

• Cameron Zephier, 24, Lake Andes, was arrested Wednesday on a probation hold.

• Ethan Klasi, 22, Crofton, Neb., was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear.

• Andrew Niebrugge Jr., 26, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday for reckless driving; contributing to the delinquency or CHINS or A/N of a minor; and intentional damage to property ($1,000-$100,000)/first-degree vandalism.

• Alec Barta, 24, Gayville, was arrested Wednesday for driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Jeannette Borah, 38, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday on a probation hold.

• Jeffrey Kotalik, 47, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance in Schedules I and II and possession of drug paraphernalia.
