SCOTLAND — Two people died in a two-vehicle accident Friday morning south of Scotland, according to authorities.
However, no other details were available as of Friday evening. The accident occurred in Bon Homme County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the accident, according to Department of Public Safety (DPS) spokesman Tony Mangan.
He said he could confirm the two deaths, along with the number of vehicles and the general location of the accident. However, he had not received a report or specific information from the patrol officers investigating the accident.
The names of the deceased individuals are not being released at this time. Authorities have also not released the ages, genders or hometowns of the two individuals killed in the accident.
In addition, authorities have not released the cause of the accident or whether other parties were involved with it.
