One man died late Saturday night in a one-vehicle crash west of Yankton.

According to a press release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 2012 Ford F150 SuperCrew pickup truck was eastbound on South Dakota Highway 314 when it left the roadway. The pickup struck a cable guardrail and rolled several times.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken to the Yankton hospital where he later died. He was the only person involved.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of family members.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

Chris was a funny loving and caring man who would give you the shirt off his back in freezing weather. Please pray for the family and friends of this terrible tragedy that wiull affect many for a very long time. Prayers and positive thoughts is what will get those affected including EMS and other authorities, through this time. Thank you
