Search For Missing Woman Continues

The search for a missing Yankton woman extended into a second day Tuesday.

Phyllis Hunhoff, 59, of Yankton, was last seen between 9-10 p.m. Sunday evening at her mother’s residence off of 439th Ave. and 300th St. near Utica.

Michael Rothschadl, chief deputy sheriff with the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, told the Press & Dakotan that volunteers from the Yankton County Office of Emergency Management and the sheriff’s department were still searching the area where Hunhoff was last reported.

She was last seen wearing faded blue jeans and a purple coat.

According to the sheriff’s office, she has no known medical issues, did not show up at her residence Sunday night and did not show up to work Monday.

Her vehicle is a white 2001 Honda Accord with South Dakota license number 7B2309.
