One person was arrested following a report of gunshots being fired in Yankton Sunday morning.

According to Yankton Police Department Commander Todd Brandt, a report was received around 5:30 a.m. Sunday of gunshots in the 1900 block of Cedar St. Officers responded and detained a male who was located near the reported incident.

Tyler Banks, 20, Yankton, was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated and threatening a law enforcement officer. Both charges are Class I misdemeanors.

Banks is currently being held on a $1,000 cash bond in the Yankton County Jail.

Brandt said no injuries were reported during the incident.
