JEFFERSON — A Yankton man was taken into custody following an interstate pursuit that ended at Jefferson.

Zachary Cwach, 32, was driving and the lone occupant in a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan when the pursuit started at 9:46 a.m. last Thursday, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.

The pursuit started in Sioux City with Iowa law enforcement. The pursuit went north on Interstate 29, and South Dakota Highway Patrol began pursuit near mile marker 2. The van eventually stopped near the Jefferson port of entry.

Cwach was not injured during the pursuit and was arrested. Charges were pending against him.
