The next SPARK Community Conversation will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at the Avera Professional Office Pavilion in Yankton.

The featured topic for December is “How do we combat human trafficking?” Scheduled presenters are:

• Desiree Johnson, executive director with River City Domestic Violence Center;

• Maggie Jensen, anti-human trafficking coordinator with River City Domestic Violence Center;

• Becky Rasmussen, executive director with Call to Freedom;

• Michelle Treasure, case manager with Call to Freedom.

The goal of SPARK is to connect community leaders and volunteers, while gaining knowledge and understanding of community needs. Members meet on the first Friday of each month, at the Avera Professional Office Pavilion, to share information and look for opportunities to improve the community through collaboration.
