• It’s the end of another football season for the Yankton Bucks. Tomorrow night at 7:30 on Crane field, Yankton and Mitchell forget happenings of the past season and settle down to business for a battle royal over a jug — the renowned Little Brown Jug which has been the root of high-pitched rivalry between the Bucks and Kernels for years.

• The Irene high school is having a three weeks’ corn-picking vacation.

• Yankton County precincts experienced a 75 percent voter turnout during Tuesday’s general election. Of the 11,668 registered voters in Yankton County, 8,040 turned out to the general election polls Tuesday. Adding the 716 absentee voters, the total of Yankton County residents voting was 8,756.

• For the second time in two years, Nebraska voters decided Tuesday to limit the number of terms politicians can serve.
