Joe Hoffman, former Yankton Federal Prison Horticulturist, will be the guest speaker at the Yankton Community Library’s Seed Library class on Tuesday, Aug, 13.

Hoffman will teach attendees about how to read when plants are ready to harvest seeds as well as discuss seed saving how-to’s. Hoffman will also be providing hands-on seed saving training for all who attend.

The public is invited to this hands-on class, which will be presented two times on Aug. 13: once at 2 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. The Yankton Seed Library meets at the Yankton Community Library, located at 515 Walnut Street, Yankton.
