How might the return of college football impact Mount Marty College and the greater Yankton area?

There’s nobody better to ask than Mike Woodley, who last summer was named head coach of the MMC Lancers’ new football program.

Woodley will meet the community and talk about the potential benefits on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at 9 a.m. at the now-monthly One Million Cups. All interested persons are welcome. The location has changed to the Riverfront Center (use the eastern-most Third Street entrance).

Woodley, who won the MMC job over a large field of outstanding candidates, comes to Yankton after a highly successful career in Iowa. He is in the Iowa High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame.

He started a football program at Grand View University in Des Moines and built an 85-32 record. He led Grand View to seven conference titles and the 2013 NAIA national championship.

One Million Cups will now be hosted by Onward Yankton and the Meridian District on the first Wednesday of every month. The goal is to promote entrepreneurial discussions in the community.
