Daily Record Policy

The Press & Dakotan publishes police and sheriff reports as a public service to its readers. It is important to remember that an arrest should not imply guilt and that every person is presumed innocent until proven otherwise. When juveniles are released from jail, it is into the care of a parent or guardian.

It is the policy of the Press & Dakotan to publish all names made available in the police and court reports. There are no exceptions.

Arrests

• Sami Weddell, 31, Flandreau, was booked Tuesday on a facility hold for the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office.

• Chad Shipps, 36, Volin, was arrested Tuesday on a probation hold.

• Willow Fischer Sr., 28, Wagner, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for violation of terms and conditions.

• Shane Rupe, 38, Corydon, Iowa, was arrested Tuesday on a probation hold.

• Calvin Thompson, 57, Yankton, was arrested Tuesday on a probation hold.

• Joshua Law, 42, Yankton, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for breach of conditions without order.

• Adam Cournoyer, 22, Sioux Falls, was arrested Tuesday for false impersonation with intent to deceive law enforcement; possession of marijuana (2 oz. or less); possession of a firearm by a former violent offender (felon); commission of a felony while armed; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance; unauthorized manufacture, distribution, counterfeiting or possession of substances with a high potential for abuse (felony); accessory (harboring or concealing); and knowing a child was present when using, distributing or manufacturing methamphetamines.

• Leandro Valdez, 23, Le Mars, Iowa, was arrested Tuesday for unauthorized manufacture, distribution, counterfeiting or possession of substances with high potential for abuse (felony); possession of drug paraphernalia; false impersonation with intent to deceive law enforcement; commission of a felony while armed; possession of marijuana (2 oz. or less); possession of a firearm by a former violent offender (felon); possession of controlled substance; and on an unspecified out-of-state warrant.

• Terrence Stinson, 51, Sioux Falls, was arrested Tuesday for possession of marijuana (2 oz. or less), ingesting or inhaling a substance to become intoxicated and unauthorized ingestion of a controlled drug or substance.

• A 14-year-old Yankton male was arrested Tuesday for making terroristic threats.

• Christopher Uhing, 32, Yankton, was arrested Wednesday on a parole hold.
