Astec Industries of Chattanooga, Tenn., has recently named two new Group Vice Presidents in the Aggregate and Mining areas. Rick Patek has been named the Group Vice President for the Aggregate and Mining Group and will remain as President of Telsmith, Inc. This group consists of Breaker Technology of Thornbury, Ontario, Osborn of Johannesburg, South Africa, along with Telsmith of Mequon, Wis.
The Astec AggReCon Group will be headed by Joe Vig, who will also retain his duties as President of Kolberg-Pioneer, Inc. in Yankton. The three companies in this group include Johnson Crushers International of Eugene, Ore., Astec Mobile Screens of Sterling, Ill., and KPI.
Patek and Vig will report to the Chairman and CEO of Astec Industries, Dr. J. Don Brock, along with the present Group Vice Presidents, Norm Smith (Asphalt Group) and Tom Campbell (Mobile Paving and Underground Groups). Astec Industries, Inc. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, is a manufacturer of specialized equipment for building and restoring the world's infrastructure. Astec's manufacturing operations are divided into four business segments: Aggregate Processing and Mining Equipment; Asphalt Production Equipment; Mobile Asphalt Paving Equipment; and Underground Boring, Directional Drilling, and Trenching Equipment. There are fourteen separate division companies within Astec Industries.
