Carol Ann Resch, 62, of Yankton, South Dakota passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at her home.

Memorial Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton.

The Mount Funeral Home of Platte, South Dakota is assisting with arrangements.

Carol Ann Habeck was born November 7, 1945, to Wilbert and Malinda (Strack) Habeck in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She grew up in the area and in 1964, graduated from Random Lake High School in Random Lake, Wisconsin. In 1966 she married George Resch at St. John's Church in Sherman Center, Wisconsin. Carol relocated her family to Yankton, South Dakota in 1979 and she was currently employed as a seamstress at EPI.

Carol was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge of Yankton, as well as volunteering her time to support HAPY and other related groups. She spent much of her time sewing, working on arts and crafts and enjoyed being in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.

Those honored for having shared in Carol's life include her children: Dwayne Resch and wife, Dawn (Mount) of Crocker, Missouri, John Resch and wife, Stacia (Thiel) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Brian Resch and wife, Elizabeth (Crawford) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Cindy Ruggles and husband, Chris of Brookings, South Dakota; 9 grandchildren; a great-grandson; 3 brothers: Bob Habeck and wife, Karen of Mission Hill, South Dakota, Vernon Habeck and wife, Jane of Plymouth, Wisconsin and Raymond Habeck and wife, Suzanne of Adell, Wisconsin; a sister, Janet Jentsch and husband, Ron of Adell, Wisconsin along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by: her mother, Malinda Habeck and a sister, Shirley Habeck.
