Supervisors for the competition were Middle School Staff members as well as several former students and parents.

The results of this local tournament are used to select a team to represent Yankton in later competition.

After selection of the 15-member team and alternates, the Team will start preparation for the 22nd Annual State competition being held on the campus of the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, on April 1. The Yankton Middle School Team is the defending state champion.
