Brookings’ DeHaven Second At Foot Locker Regional

KENOSHA, Wis. — Brookings senior Addison DeHaven placed second in the boys’ race a the Foot Locker Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships, held Saturday at the University of Wisconsin.

Grant Fisher of Grand Blanc, Mich., win in 15:02, seven seconds ahead of DeHaven over the 5,000-meter course.

Kelcy Welch of Carmel, Ind., won the girls’ race in 17:34, five seconds ahead of Stephanie Jenks of Aurora, Iowa. The top S.D. runner in the girls’ race was Katie Patrick of Sioux Falls, 72nd in 19:09.

The top 10 finishers in each race qualified for the Foot Locker national finals, Dec. 14 at Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif.
