Photos may accompany the announcement. For best results, bring a sharp-focus close-up photo. Black and white, color, and wallet sizes are acceptable. No photo copies or newsprint, please.

Birthday policy Birthdays of 75 years or more are published on Mondays as space allows. Deadline is at noon Thursday prior to the Monday of desired publication. Forms are available at the P&D Office, 319 Walnut, Yankton. They must be typed or legibly printed and must contain the name and telephone number of a contact person.

Photo policy

A photo may be used for engagement, wedding, anniversary or birthday announcements.

The best photo is a clear, head and shoulders shot of the couple. Black and white or color is acceptable. Photos from other newspapers and color photocopies reproduce poorly.

Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Please do not send money for postage.

Calendars

Community Notebook
The Notebook is published every Monday and Thursday. Send announcements one week before the day of desired publication. Contributions must be legibly printed and contain the name and telephone number of a contact person.

Each Saturday we publish a running calendar of music, theater, arts, festivals and other events. Send info any time. Deadline for each week's edition is Wednesday noon.
