Dennis Culver, 74, went with the Lord on July 2, 2013 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Dennis was born October 13, 1938 in Yankton to Cress and Selma (Fiedler) Culver.

He married Marilyn Thorson in 1958 to their union, five children were born.

Dennis was a truck driver for over 50 years and drove for various companies. His favorite companies were; Specialized Hauling, Sioux City, IA and Cedar Grove Farms, Utica.

He married Glenyce Lee on June 25, 1988. They had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They also drove truck together for four years, which they enjoyed.

Dennis is survived by his wife Glenyce, two sons; Kevin (Penny) Culver and Kent (Brenda) Culver all of Omaha, two daughters; Kelly (Jeff) Finkral and Kristin (Darron) Spalding, all of Norfolk, daughter-in-law Rhonda Culver of Yankton, step children; Troy Larson and significant other Melinda, of Yankton, Rick Larson and fiancé Angela of Gayville and Glenda Mitchell and significant other Geno of Irene. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren with another girl expected soon, 1 step-great-grandson with another girl expected soon, two sisters; Doris Frank of Sioux Falls, and Shirley Dale of Gayville, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Kyle in 2009, grandson Corey, sister & brother-in-law Percy and Carol Bergland, brothers & sister-in-laws; Calvin & Fern, Cress & Kay, Elmer & Marg and Dural Culver, Brother-in-laws; Don Frank & Marvin Dale, father and mother-in-law Orris and Olive Lee, brother-in-laws & sister-in-laws; Larry Lee and Lenny (Carol) Lee of Austin, TX, and very, very special friends Don Anderson and Ron Nysven.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Hansen Funeral Home in Irene with Rev. Lance Lindgren officiating. Burial will follow in the Gayville Cemetery. Visitation will begin two hours prior to services.
