Area Blood Drives
The Siouxland Community Blood Bank Mobile Unit will be at the following
• Monday, Sept. 28 — VFW Hall, Hartington, Neb., noon-6 p.m.
• Monday, Sept. 28 — Springfield Elementary School, 2:30-6:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 29 — University of South Dakota, Vermillion, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Tuesday, Sept. 29 — Laddie E. Cimpl Arena, Yankton, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Wednesday, Sept. 30 — University of South Dakota, Muenster Student Center, Vermillion, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 1 — Zion Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, Avon, 2-6 p.m.
• Monday, Oct. 5 — Bloomfield Community Center, 2-5:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, Oct. 7 — Yankton High School, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Friday, Oct. 9 — Wausa Fire Hall, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
To be eligible to donate blood individuals must be at least 17 years of age; however there is no upper age limit as long as the donor is in good health. In addition, donors need to weigh at least 110 pounds and have not donated whole blood in the past 56 days. A photo I.D. is required at the time of registration.
